JMI
Hello,
I know, I've got such a novice question, but what does cubic inch
displacement really mean? I know it can be expressed in "cc"s or even
liters, but what is it really measuring?
Thanks,
Jeff

Correct lube for window channel? by
DemoDisk
The window regulator failed on my 93 Nissan Sentra, probably because I
cleaned the driver's window channel (2-dr) so well that the glass bound
up and the cable failed.
I think I can install a new regulator, but what do I lube the channel
with to prevent another problem? The passenger window is...

GM 3.8 V-6 claimed to be the BEST ENGINE EVER by some here by
krp
Can we do a time warp back to the claims that the GM 3.8 liter V-6 was the
BEST engine in world history? The little alley fight we had on that as I
suggested a rather LONG list of engines I felt were better.
Interesting news - SOON TO BE Bankrupt General Motors has had to RECALL over

Directional Tires and unstable handling (97 Accord 200K) by
[email protected][_1_]
I have a Honda Accord with 200K miles.
Over the past year, I have had two different brands/sets of directional
tires (Yokohama Avids & now Michelin Exalto A/S tires). I keep
experiencing erratic handling, mostly noticable on the freeway. Road
texture, especially grooved pavement seems to trip up...

Dealer Refuses to Refund New Car Deposit. by
Ryan
Hi,
We are researching our options here and wanted input from others as
this has never happened to us before.
We visted a car dealer earler this month and reached a price on a new
car that we were very clear had to be a specific color and have
specific equipment. This dealer did not have that...

Setting AC to Medium position waste Gasoline? by
[email protected]
Just wondering how the AC in Vehicles work.
When you set the Air conditioning to less the max, does The AC still
work
at maximum capacity while mixing the really cold air with some hot air?
If
so, I would say that there is cold air is being wasted. It would
make
more sense to me if AC would...

stickshift questions by
Johnny
I recently bought a car with a stickshift and I'm learning how to
drive it. Someone told me it takes about 20 hours of city driving to
get used to the stickshift, and I've probably spent only 2 hours on
the street and 5 in an empty parking lot.
This car has a VERY quiet engine and no tachometer,...

Left headlight goes down, but not up by

I have an 85 1st gen RX-7 and am having a few problems with the
headlights. The left headlight doesn't come up on its own, but if I
manually raise it while the other one is up, and then I lower the right
one, the left one goes down also. Any suggestions?

Brake Rotors: Why Different Sizes? by
Geoff Miller
I realize that front brakes absorb a lot more energy
than rear brakes do, and that historically, this is
why front brake rotors were larger in diameter than
rear rotors.
But given the existence of brake proportioning valves,
not to mention all the electronic controls that cars
have these days, why...
