69 fastback glass by wam
I am trying to find the measurements for installing the door glass in the tracs of a 69 mach1. The glass popped out and I think it might have been caused by the glass not installed in the correct location. I have several manuals but none of them give this information. Thanks, Wendell

idle thought on gasoline/fuel taxes by walt peifer
remember when unleaded fuel first cam out? You could stick an unleaded nozzle in a leaded fuel car but you couldn't pump leaded fuel into an unleaded vehicle. could we do something like that again? suppose that the restrictor plate in the gas tank is sized according to fuel mileage? I.E. as the...

whats with the grips about gas prices? by walt peifer
I know that gas has gotten more expensive over that past 6 months or so, but already prices are rolling back here on the west coast of florida. Paid $2.599 for regular yesterday. This morning same station had rolled back to $2.549. if you inflation adjust prices going back to the early 90's...

vent window weather stripping by [email protected]
my weather stripping on my 67 mustang vent window went out and i don't know how to replace it. getting it out of the grooves isn't the problem, its just one part where the metal pivot on the vent goes through the weather stripping and the only way to get it out is to dismantle the side vent window,...

Anyone know where some keyed power is for my XM Radio? by Waferboy
Hey all, I've got a 1993 5.0 LX and am looking for a 12V @ 1A "keyed" power source. I tapped into the cigarette lighter for now, but it's always on. I would like a power source that I can find or create so that I can have my XM turn off by itself when I turn off the car. I'm just too lazy to...

Checked your brakes lately? by wabbitslayer
Just a little story I feel the need to sha Several days ago my wife told me her brakes on her Mountaineer were making some noise. I drove it to the store the next evening and sure enough, there came a godawful grinding noise whenever the brakes were applied; it also sounded like there was a...

Poll: How many miles do you get on your low fuel light? by wabbitslayer
About half-way home today I noticed that my low fuel light was on. Oops, especially since the nearest gas station was about 10 or 12 miles away. I didn't stop there though b/c I had to come straight home; so now I guess I'll see if I can make it to the station in the morning, I reset the trip...

And What Would You Buy? by wabbitslayer
Well, if you keep you cars FOREVER, odds are you take care of them; so you've got the issue of not knowing what happened the first 15-20k miles on the used GT you're looking at; could be a factor eight or nine years from now. Then again, I don't know for certain what happened the first 4 miles...

OK, last night on the way home from work I noticed surging/stumbling/something generally not right between 1500-2000 rpm. I Went to WOT a time or two, both times the check engine light would flash a time or two right after then go out. I eased it home, right before I got there the light came on...

What's your brake pad preference? by wabbitslayer
Time for some new front pads...Raybestos or Hawk? Never tried the Hawk pads, heard good things about them. Probably going to try them, so the more pertinent question is: Ceramic or semi-metallic? Or should I starve the kids and get Steeda's 13" Cobra upgrade kit? (not expecting spousal approval on...

Where's a flat spot on a 01 Dash? by wabbitslayer
Santa dropped off a satellite radio the other day. Anyone have any ideas on a mounting location? The suction cup thingy that came with it will apparently only stick to the windshield, which looks stupid, in addition to making the radio sit on top of the dash and yell to the world "steal me!" (It's...
