What's your winter project? by
Sneaks
So, what is everyone working on this winter? I'm going to hopefully finish
my doorpanels and seats. My wife is being patient with them in our bedroom,
but I'm sure she'd like them out of there. Then there is the motorcycle in
the corner next to the dresser............

Emergency brake cable by
azazel scratch
I had to replace one of my emergency brake cables on my 1974 Super Beetle so
I picked one up from Mid America Motorworks. After installing the new one I
find that there is no brake action even with the nut all the way down the
adjusting screw and the brake handle pulled all the way up. The cable...

My newest bug 72 Super Beetle Pics by
Noice87
www.73ford.com/bug72
Do the running boards appear saveable? I see some surface rust
underneath them.
Heater channels appear to be in pretty good condition. But I'll have
to look at mine at see if they are as good.
Also on the metal behind the back seat "Extra Luggage Compartment"

How much should I pay?... Windows installed by
Noice87
I called a body shop to see how much tye would install fotn, back, and
side windows with my new rubber and they said about 350. I think
that's too high. My EX-GF's father does glass so he may be able to
install them for me at a discount. Or is this something I could do
myself?
Thanks Steven

12v to 6v voltage droppers? by
Scott H
I have some 6 volt lights that I want to run in a 12 volt system. They are
25w.
Do most FLAPS have just run-of-the-mill voltage droppers?
Or do I need something more specific?
I couldn't find anything listed at the Autozone, Advance Auto, etc.
websites.
JC Whitney (I know, I know!) lists two...

Need a second opinion... by
Dangermouse
Hi folks,
I recently installed a new intake manifold (1500 sp, Brazilian) after I
gave up trying to clear the heat riser pipes on the original. Long
story short, engine is back in car and now I find that I can't get
the stock air cleaner back on as the carb top is slightly too close to
the fan...

Another Electrical Mystery by
Bill[_3_]
Hello All:
A friend of mine dropped by with an older 12volt Porsche 356 which had
been converted to a VW 1600DP (stock, with alternator.) Everything on
the car works properly - the car charges up nicely, the alternator
light goes out as it should, etc. The exception is the...
