As I was researching the set of tires I bought for my 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX. There were Pirelli P Zero Nero M+S in P205/55-ZR16 size, made in Germany with a marking of 02/04. My tires were marked with a UTQG traction rating of A. I noticed that the sidewall picture in the dealer pamhplet...

97 Honda Accord seatbelt retraction problem by [email protected]
I have a 1997 Honda Accord with about 140K miles. The seat belt on the drivers side doesnt retract well anymore. Often the belt gets caught in the door when I leave the car. Perhaps this is normal wear and tear on the seat belt mechanism after so many miles. Just wondering if anyone has a similar...

Prelude w/ Titan alarm by rb608
I'm reaching into the "wayback machine" here; but I need some info on an older auto alarm system. I recently purchased a 1995 Honda Prelude that has an (aftermarket, I think) anti-theft system installed. At this point, all I know about it is from the window decal and the name on the remote...

91 Honda Accord - Leaking Wiper Fluid by David Macaskill
I've got a leak in my wiper fluid line. I filled the tank with water, ran the car, and activated the pump. Water made it to the windscreen but also gushed out from underneath the car just in front of the driver's door. I had the hood up for all of this and there was no obvious leak. Problem is the...

The Art of Haggling and Other Questions About the Civic Hybrid by Chopface
TeGGer® wrote: > Even at the prices these cars sell for, both Toyota and Honda lose money > overall on every hybrid they sell. Would you view it as an investment that will pay off for them some day? How does the economics of licensing work out for Toyota? Don't they sell their technology to Ford...

2003 Pilot Clunking Calipers by John Casey
Has anyone had any experience with the brake calipers clunking on the first brake application after changing direction? The dealer says this is normal for this car. I told them it's bull for a $35K car to make that kind of noise. Thanks, John C.

Drum Brake "Wunka-Wunka" by Elle Navorski
My 91 Civic's right rear drum brake makes a "wunka-wunka" noise every now and then when I press the brake pedal while driving and coming to a stop. This began two days ago, after a heavy snowstorm (8 inches or more, so around brake drum height), parking lot (at the top of a mountain) not plowed,...

which minivan to buy? by snow
My 1992 Dodge Caravan is getting old (it runs well, been lucky..at 150,000) and I am planning to buy a minivan this summer. It won't be a new one. It will be most likely 2 to 4 years old depending on the model. I noticed that Ford minivans are the cheapest, followed by Dodge. The Toyota Siennas and...

'04 Accord EX by Steppenwolf
I have the XM radio, and the light in the console has gone out. Radio and all A/C controls work, and I can see what the indicators read (if I put a flashlight beam on them) but the light doesn't work. Any ideas? Obviously, I'm hoping that this doesn't involve replacing the radio. Thanks in advance
