159 or GT ?? by
hologram
After 7 years driving two successive 156s, one a 1.8TS saloon and the
second a 2.0 Selespeed Sportwagon, (plus a few other variations in
between), I'm now weighing up a GT or a 159 as my next Alfa.
For once I don't have to think about this being our main family car
(the wife's getting a Mazda 6...

Alfa 156 S.W. 2003 Remote Control problem by
Dino737 [Alfa156SW 1.9JTD 16V 2003]
Hello,
My remote control of my Alfa 156 is not working. I checked the battery
and it is still good (I only changed it a couple of months ago).
If I press to unlock the doors the red light blinks 2 times. (in the
manual it is written that if battery power is low it only blinks once).
Also when the...

156 spotwagon load space by
R D S
What is the load space on a 156 sportwagon like?
I need to replace my Astra estate and since I love my 156 saloon so much I
was thinking of replcing it with one of these, how does the load space
compare.

Best auto loan rate
Finding the best auto loan rate takes a lot of time and patience.
You need to do some legwork before deciding about the matter. The interest

Alfa 156 idle rpm by
[email protected]
Hi,
I have Alfa 156 2.0 TS, year of production 2000. I noticed a slight rpm
variation when the engine is idle. Normaly, rpm is somewhere below
1000, but from time to time it drops near the red area and then comes
back. It happens regardless of clima turned on/off.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Alfa 147 - Right hand bend slipping problem by
Tom[_3_]
Hi
I have a 2001 147 2.0 T-Spark which has develpoed an annoying habit of
slipping occasionally when going round right hand bends. It doesn't have a
problem with left hand bends!
Sometimes the VDC light will start flashing until I straighten up and
sometimes it will slip as well. It always...

Disc brakes for a 1963 Giulia spider by
Bill Smith
I'm trying to find out for a friend what the best way to go for front
discs for this car. Do we use the '65 bits, or is there an aftermarket
solution some of you folks might know about? The '65 bits don't look
all that good to me. We put a 2 liter GTV engine in it and it's brakes
are, shall we say,...

Alfa 156 cold start by
[email protected]
Almost every morning when I start the engine it works for a second and
then stops. When I start it again it works fine. It's not that it
doesn't start at all when I turn the ignition key - it starts working
(fuel burns) for a second and stops.
What could be the cause of this?
Spark plugs are not...

Alfa 156 V6 gearbox problem by
[email protected]
Hi There!
Been scouring the web in the hope for a solution. I have just purchased
a 2001 2.5L V6 Q system (automatic) alfa 156. Am having an issue. The
car seems to stay in "safe mode" when driving - that is, only 1 gear in
auto and only 2 gears in 'manual' mode.
I've brought the car to a couple...
