MSM and cooling by
Hal
So today it was about 104 degrees out and I was taking a little trip
in the '04 MSM. Everything was in the green, until I got off the
freeway after an 80mph or so sprint with traffic. I get stopped at the
light at the end of the ramp, get the green, and start to pull around
the corner...I look...

a different antenna issue by
peter
hi,
i went to look at something in a defunct car dealer's lot which had
nylon rope across the driveway. the car easily went under the
rope...except the antenna which got yanked out. no big deal, it is
easily put back in. however, the threads on the mast unit are plastic
and are shot. i tried...

Tires for a '90 Miata by
Arye
It's time to replace the Kumhos on my '90 Miata. My thinking is to go up
one size (from 185/60R14 to 195/60R14), to compensate for the slightly
too-slow speedometer, and buy a set of four Sumitomo HTR A/S P01.
My questions:
1. Any wise comments on the increased size?
2. Any wise comments on...

What's your longest one day Miata drive? by
Chris D'Agnolo[_2_]
Just for fun, and to see if anyone is still hanging around, I wondering what
people's longest, single day 'Miata drive' has been. I'm not talking about
jumping on the freeway and heading to a distant city but a drive just for
fun. It can include some highway driving (especially if you live in...

NA Sticky Exterior Door Handle by
Christopher Muto
My passenger side exterior door handle does not snap back when opened.
It has to be pushed back flush with the door in order for the door to
latch/close properly.
I have tried squirting some WD40 into the latch behind the handle but
that only marginally helped.
If I remove the handle from the...

.... was my calculated fuel consumption rate for an ~84 mile drive
from Fredericksburg, Virginia, to Reston, Virginia on Sunday. I
intentionally drove as conciously of fuel consumption as possible,
without causing a dangerous situation. Average speeds were in the

Massimo, this newsgroup has become like a ghost town, if you know what I
mean. I think we are witnessing the death of news groups, not sure. I wish
you best of luck, just saying don't put too many eggs in this basket ;-).

Hard Dog Door Bars by
Brian Minto
Has anyone installed the hard dog door bars (made by Bethania Garage) in an
NB model? The bars appear to be nicely made and I would expect that they fit
NA models quite well due to the simple shape of the NA interior door panels.
I now own an NB model (my '94 miata was stolen and wrecked in...

95 m-ed is spittin g by

hi,
95 w-ed w/ sebring blower, (~12k on the rebuilt drive train, 125k on
chassis), generally runs fine however, there are times the tach
jumps 3-400 rpm and the car spits/hesitates/stumbles. part of the
blower install requires splicing wires into the cam position sensor
harness, (i didnt do...

Magnaflow Bolt On Catalytic Converter? by
Christopher Muto
The heat shield on the catalytic converter on my '95 is rattling and
unless there is a clever fix like the stainless steel hose clamp
solution for the down pipe heat shield I think I need a replacement.
The cheapest bolt on replacement appears to be the Managflow 23696 for
$85 from Performance...

MSM intake parts replacement by
Hal
All....I'm in a bit of a funk. I want to replace the rubber inlet pipe
on the 04 MSM, and I see two variants available. One, by bell
engineering, looks to be a direct fit if I only want to replace the
intake elbow and nothing else. The other kit by FM comes with a new
bypass valve, and costs more...
