Audi B6 S4 cam chains by
marcus
I have just had the cam chains on my 2004 11000m B6 S4. replaced.
Anyone else had this done, there is a problem with the tensioners that makes
a clunking and rattling sound on start up after the car had stood for a
while. If they are not done they can fail, the chains break recking the
motor.

A4 brake problems by
Glenn Richards
2001 A4, 1.9TDI 130. Done about 80k miles...
About 3 weeks ago, was driving home, when suddenly the brake pedal
became very spongey. Shortly after this I lost all servo assistance.
Came back after about 10-15 seconds, but then went again after about 3
brake applications.
Drove home at 15mph with...

Where to get "split" boots to go over CV Joints ? by
Courtney Thomas
I want to replace my deteriorated CV joint boots without having to remove
the joints/axles, inner & outer, on a '90 Turbo 200 and am unable to
locate such items.
Anyone know a vendor and the price ?
Thank you,
Courtney

'90 Turbo 200: HOW2 tell if CV joint needs replacing ? [Thanks to ALL !] by
Courtney Thomas
Being inexperienced, I am now confused as to which way to go, i.e.......
If I have to remove the axle/CV joint at all, it seems to me to just
simply replace w/original type boots.
Else, it seems the stretchy boots are the labor easy way to go.
I'm in the U.S. so I assume importing the stetchies...

Wait Time For a New Audi? by
Justin
I am considering buying a new S4, but my local dealer cannot find one with
the options I want. He says that if I special order it, it will take 3-4
months to arrive. Anybody had any experience with this? Is there a
possibility it will come sooner? I know BMW dealers can change options on
cars on...

Audi rear wiring loom by
Tony
This is the same failure that was essentially a 100 percent guarantee of 'when'
rather than 'if' in the T44 series. Caused a number of seemingly unrelated
symptoms including dash lights failing.

Hi Guys,
My 2002 1.8T Quattro A4 is making a whining noise when I turn the wheel. The
more I turn it, the louder it seems. Any Ideas what it might be?

Fusable link in Audi 200 radiator fan by
~ Elektraman ~
I need to connect a 70A fuse to my radiator fan. From what I've read you
connect one end of the fuse to the ground wire post on the back of the fan
motor. What do I connect the other end of the fuse to?
TIA,
Steve

'98 A4 2.8 - Oil light by
Jim Elbrecht
Last week my son bought an A4 Quattro with 109,000 miles on it. The
engine sounds good & it drives fine.
At about 180 degrees the oil light comes on. It goes
off and on randomly after a few minutes. Somtimes it will stay
on/off for a couple minutes, sometimes seconds. The water and...

A4 battery woes by
[email protected]
Hi guys,
I have a 97 A4 with 50000 miles on the clock. About 6 months ago I get
in it without driving it for a couple of weeks and nothing - I notice
the central locking is sluggish and the volts are very low.
So I get a jump start, get on my way and forget about it. problem
never reoccurs...

A4 Service Interval by
Peter
I bought my first Audi - a (secondhand) 2002 A4 3.0 quattro - in
April. The service indicator currently says 28 days/6000 miles. This
isn't consistent - 28 days will be early September, but 6000 miles
will take me to about the beginning of February.
The car's done 26,500 miles. It was last...
