Where the World's Unsold New Cars Go To Die by HomeGuy
If this is true, then who is financing this pile of cars? Especially in Europe, especially in the UK (where most of these pictures are taken) --------------------- In the past several years, one of the topics covered in detail on these pages has been the surge in such gimmicks designed to...

###TIMING BELT CONSPIRACY THEORY### by [email protected]
Celica with timing belt? 22re? I don't think so, maybe the guides broke for the timing CHAIN which may have caused enough wear for the CHAIN to break, but there is no belt in that motor On Wednesday, July 20, 1994 6:50:31 PM UTC-7, wrote: > In article...

Mysterious dead battery in 2000 Honda Accord by woger151
Last weekend my wife reported that the battery was dead in our 2000 Honda Accord V6. I charged battery overnight; started fine after I put it back in. Looked for drains with a multimeter; after a few minutes, current went down to 12 mA, which AFAICT means there's no way it could empty the battery....

vapor canister disconnect (Cavalier) by George[_23_]
(04 Cavalier) The (2) hoses running to the vapor canister have 'quick disconnects'. The plastic is all free, and I've tried squeezing in various places, but I don't get it. I'd appreciate a link/advice/hint on how to take them off. Thanks.

Battery maintenance by I hate front wheel drive, most torque must go to the rear
I brought home 2 ragrats yesterday, found the lights were on a few hours later. Then I took battery home and put it on the charger. In the morning it was still trickling a little under 1.5 amp (and the "charged" light was never on) So I pulled the caps off the 6 cells to check the elctrolyte...

How are cracks in windshield handled these days? by MoPar Man
A few months ago I was working on my car (2000 Chrysler 300m) and lifting one of the front corners to do some suspension work. I didn't hear anything, but at some point it must have been due to body torque or twisting that caused a crack in the windshield, in the opposite side to where I was...

How do you seal the bead of a newly installed tire by Ahmed E. Souaiaia
I managed to manually slip a P255/60R16 tire onto the wheel but when I put compressed air into the Shraeder valve (even with the valve stem removed), all the air leaks out before the bead will seal. What's the trick to seal the bead so I can fill it up?

steering wheel puller? (04 Cavalier) by George[_23_]
('04 Cavalier) The horn switch is bad, and needs to be working for state inspection. So, I have to pull the steering wheel. The problem is, the wheel doesn't have threaded holes for the puller bolts to screw into. Instead, there are just oblong slots in the plate. GM has special legs for their...

Inexpensive ($30?) dash cam USB battery powered microSD up to 64GB by Ahmed E. Souaiaia
I saw a guy disconnecting his dash cam off his rear-view mirror as he parked on the street and I asked him what it was (I had thought it was a really tiny GPS). He showed it to me, and it was this really small dashcam that he said he got for 30 bucks on the net, which had a 64GB microSD card slot...

Considerations for transporting extra fuel for emergencies (suchas running out of gas, etc) in a passenger car by I hate front wheel drive, most torque must go to the rear
What are you using to carry extra gas/diesel for emergencies? Plastic or metal container? cabin or trunk? I have a wagon so I wonder if carrying the gas container in the cargo area is any safer than the cabin though. thanks
