Clutch question by XS11E
I'm thinking of getting a Mustang with a 5 speed, I've been looking at 1985-1993 convertibles because they're much more in my price range than the later ones. I'd like a 5 speed but I drove one and the clutch seems very stiff for my arthritic knee. Is there some way to make the clutch lighter? ...

3.8 Engine Swap by [email protected]
Hi, my name is Alek Pike and I have a 3.8L 1994 5-speed Mustang convertible. Before I bought the car, the car apparently blew a head gasket. I was not informed of this at the auction house where I bought it, and I have invested a fair amount of money in the Stang, almost to the point of not getting...

RE-engine swap by Xaphan via CarKB.com
The 3.8 in my mustang is pretty much shot, its still rebuildable but I don't know if it's worth it. I was offered a good deal on a 5.0 out of a 1990 Lincoln (runs decent less than 100,000 miles) would this be a better engine, or should I just rebuild the one I have and be done with it? -- Message...

engine swap by Xaphan
I'm planning on swapping an engine out of a 1982 F150 (302) and putting it in a 1995 Ford Mustang. now my question is what all will I need for this conversion? as far as a new computer, rear end, engine mounts etc. p.s. The Mustang has an existing 3. 8L V6 with manual tranny. thanks, Xaphan

1998 Mercury Mystique by wshurben
I need to find out how to remove the gear shift Knob so that I can get to replace to temperature control in the console unit. There is a set screw a couple of inches down which I removed and found that this allowed the outer tube to come free but I could not remove it. Any suggestions. Thanks Bill

caliper piston question by wowzer
I have a 1994 Mustang with a V-6. The brakes get a slight shimmy or pulse every now and again and I was told by the dealer it was a stuck piston in one of the front calipers. I was trying to decide between replacing the front calipers, replacing just the one that is sticking or replacing the...

oil question by wowzer
My 1994 Mustang with the 3.8 engine seems to be going through a bit more oil than normal. It's not leaking out anywhere and there is no smoke of any type when I start it or run it. No smell either. My guess is it's getting past the rings. The engine was built about 40 000 miles ago and I don't...

1994 Mustang hinge pins by wowzer
The driver's door is in need of new hinge pins. I've been told I have to take the panel off, disconnect everything and then take the door off to replace the hinge pins. Looking at this, it seems that if I support the door with a couple of jacks I could probably take out the hinge pins, install...

Gas in W. St. Louis County hit a low of $0.799 / gal. for regular as oil prices bottomed out at below $10/bl. My friend the geologist was LAID OFF because of oil prices being so low That year, more Navigators and other of its ils were sold than in any other. In 1999, the tech collapse started. ...
