Best way to seal cracked tail light? by
Bob
1996 Explorer XLT AWD V8
One of my tail lights has a crack in it, which allows water in when I
get the truck washed or it rains heavily. which in turn causes the
backup light to stop working. I can access the back side of crack thru
the hole the lamp socket screws into, so I'm thinking of...

rear panel applique by
NCV-VT
2002 XLT. The rear panel applique is that piece of plastic body about 8"
tall running the width of the liftgate and just underneath the rear window.
They are notorious for cracking in cold weather and there is "silent"
program on them. In February the dealer's shop got a new applique panel...

Induction Service by
Foon
At my last servicing (30k) for a 2003 XLT AWD my local (and honest) repair shop
recommended something called an "Induction Service" using various BG products.
Has anyone ever had this service and did it in any way shape or form improve
your milage or is this one of those preventative maintenance...

slowalker
I have been through multiple rear end fixes for my 04 Explorer.
Finally they installed the "latest and greatest" as they put it that is
supposed to fix it once and for all - but it didn't.
So I took it back in and they told me " No whine".
It is still covered under the 3-36.
So I made an...

Squeaky Suspension by
jaydee56
My Ford Explorer squeaks when I drive it, and I tried to find the ball
joints to grease up, but found out that there isn't any. So my question is
how do I grease it up so that the suspension doesn't squeak?
Thank you,
John

Doing a tune-up on '98 Explorer - Easy ?? by
[email protected]
I have a '98 V-6 XLT Explorer. It is running kinda rough. I'm not a
mechanic, but what can I do in terms of a simple tune up? If I change
the plugs, what kind should I get? Are they pre-gapped? Should I get
them from the dealer? What other simple things can I do ?

Transfer Case Drain Plug by
Spud Unger
I have 96 Explorer 4.0L 4wd Control Trac. I removed the transfer case
drain pug and I noticed something like teflon paste on the threads. The
Chiltons manual doesn't mention anything like it in the drain/refill
procedure. Do I need to be concerned with this? tia
