Well, the world is certainly looking grim, isn't it? 85164 by Dave in Lake Villa
REPLY: I 'cope' with societal problems by staying close to God in a personal relationship ; ALL of our cultures moral degradation can be traced to when America turned its back on God and Godly principles for living, in favor of becoming a secular nation of hedonism. Sadly , many many innocent...

Where Cyndi Lives by grayfox
I noticed some postings that show an email address for cyndi..includes a last name and an area provider location...NOT a good idea to use your last name in an email address..also the provider shows the general location where you live..keep yourself safe and keep the Vette safe....a really good...

New 1976 Owner with Limited Skills by 1976VetteGuy
Group - I just bought my first Corvette -1976. I have no experience with working on cars at all, but am a fast learner. I drove it home last night and found out that the heat doesn't work. I'm not sure where to begin to search for the problem. Is this something that I can fix myself or should I...

Latest Corvette Disease - cybernetic implants by Tom in Missouri
I was out in the Corvette yesterday and saw several others, especially as it became quitting time and people left work. Out of the 6 or so I saw, one waved. The others had been assimilated as evidenced by the cybernetic implants attaching their hand to their ear area. I wonder if solid core...

Vanity plate help by Diode
Hey guys. I'm getting vanity license plates (well, "plate" :o) ) and I need some help making a decision. My choices are limited because 1) it's a Handicapped Parking plate so I'm limited to 6 characters and 2) all of the good ones have been taken. Here's what I came up...

WOW...that was too close!!! by Tom
I live in a low area near a creek that normally has 2 feet of water and this recent weather had me sweating bullets! Water was surrounding my entire house (looked like a houseboat) and it got into my garage. There was only about 1" of water on the floor of the garage my Vette sits in. All this and...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6169&item=4513002244&rd=1 This is a car being sold by suthrn_girl and at first I thought it was a joke, but then I realized she thinks she is great looking and a super model. Heck, she takes up half the shot so you can't see...

Interior C4 lights by [email protected]
I have a 1984 Corvette restore that I am doing in my free time. I got a battery in the car tonight and I started testing what worked and what did not. I was in luck because just about everything worked, except the seats which need new switches and maybe new motors. One thing that I did notice is...

C6 diecast ,or Corvette by Disappointed
Has anyone noticed the cheap plastic interior in the C6? I was trying to open the glove box of my new '08 LS3; when, to my surprise, the cheap plastic toggle broke-off in my hand. It was the third time, I had ever use the glove box! Look more closely at the seat back recliners; CHEAP PLASTIC! OK,...

C4 cooling by [email protected]
I need some help. 1990 c4, temp is good when driving but when idling the temp begins to rise and almost overheats. No leaks, replaced all seals and gaskets, changed thermostat. Water pump appears to be working but not well, no leaks from weep holes. Is the pump starting to fail but no symptoms?...

What's after Z06? by DaLoverhino
Man, the more I read about the Z06, the better it gets! I'm wondering how can Cheverolet improve on it? Like what's the next model gonna be like? Here's the things I can think of, I'm probably way off base, but I like to dream: 1. Mid-engine Corvette 2. Carbon Fiber body frame 3. Sequential...

HUD polarization ??? by PJ
Haven't used polarized sunglasses since mid 1970s. Bought a new set of shades to go with the C5 and opted for polarized lenses. Back in the car, HUD was invisible. Checked with the HUD in mama's car--same also invisible. Turned glasses 90 degrees and HUD became visible. Anyone else...

The DIC Challenge!!!!!!!!!! by Spud
Ok, I'm not buying the 30 mpg out of a 427 cu in Vette. Everyone that is claiming the huge mileage is trusting the DIC to calculate it. So we are trusting a flow sensor essentially. Or maybe Big Brother at GM wants us to feel good by "massaging" the numbers a little in the software...

Brake help by Rick B.
Today I woke up to find a puddle underneath my 1987 Coupe. As I inspected, I realized that it was brake fluid. So I opened the hood and checked where it is coming from. There is an obvious leak between the master cylinder and the booster unit. Do I need to buy a new master cylinder, or a new...
