OnStar OnImpressed by
John Shepardson
Hi, I got a new 05 c6 coupe and had a flat on the front left run-flat
tire.
I pulled over and pushed the OnStar button and after a minute or so got
the message "Please hold until an assistant is available" or something
like that.
After about 20 minutes on hold, I just decided to drive the 20...

Do you drive in the rain? by
Tom in Missouri
On the way home from the PTO meeting at school last night, I got caught in
the rain, tops off of course. As I was leaving school, I thought it was
clear enough so I left with the tops off. I was getting some misting as I
stopped for gas and it started to sprinkle.
Not feeling like the hassle of...

C5 Prayer by
Z’RiX
A little prayer I found hehehe
The C5 Is my Shepherd, I Shall Not Want. It maketh me burnout on black
pavements, It leadeth me beside busy freeways. It restoreth my soul. It
leads me in the path of quickness, For its names sake
Yea, though I walk through the valley of rice, I shall fear no turbo,...

4200 miles in six days in a C6 - fuel use notes for Dad by
Vandervecken
To start off, the C6 turned out to be a very fine long-range cruiser.
The car is comfortable, well-mannered, and not particularly tiring even
on a 900 mile day.
A long 75 mph cruise through moderate rain did not bring a single drop
of water through the convertible top. Wow!
The F55 suspension was...

caculating compression ratio by
RicSeyler
I have a friend's son that is building his first motor.
350 SBC.
He's running flat top pistons (double eyebrow reliefs)
Stock 4 in bore
Stock 3.48 stroke
He just bought some heads and the machine shop brought the chambers down
to 66cc.
Which had me a little worried at first. Seemed small to me off...

Strange noise by
Z’RiX
On my 98 when I change gears from drive to reverse or just put it in gear or
vise versa I hear a noise coming from the area of my left rear rim (hub)
almost like plastic grinding sort of sounds like one of those Mexican noise
makers but more plasticky sounding and so I checked the lugs and they...

HUD polarization ??? by
PJ
Haven't used polarized sunglasses since mid 1970s. Bought a new set of
shades to go with the C5 and opted for polarized lenses. Back in the
car, HUD was invisible. Checked with the HUD in mama's car--same also
invisible. Turned glasses 90 degrees and HUD became visible. Anyone
else...

Nology wires by
sbright
Hi folks. I put a set of Nology hotwires on my car. The difference is
amazing. The have built in capacitor in the wires which gives off a hotter
spark generating a cleaner, more powerful burn. They are a bit longer than
the stock wires. Maybe 4-5 inches. According to Corvette Fever, they...

C6 stability by
Mike S
I would like info from anyone who has driven a C6 with the removable top
both on and off. How does the car feel both ways? I'm thinking of getting
a new C6. Not sure if I want a convertible of coupe yet. I used to have a
94 C4 coupe. The ride with the top off was downright scary compared to...
