Radio Knobs by
Blinky the Shark
Please excuse this Mazda query not being Miata-specific, but I've come up
dry with both Google's web search and its Usenet archive; this is the only
Mazda group I could find, and searching my server's retention of it, I see
nothing relevant here, either.
Needed: a knob for a '03 Tribute six-CD...

2008 and Premium Gas by
socamb
I am considering purchasing a 2008 miata. O have a 1997 and love it. I
noticed the 2008 miata required premium gas. Is this true. The dealer
said it does not really require it.
I will have a hard time purchasing a car that required premium gas
these days.
any thoughts the group has would be...

What I don't like about my "new" MSM. by
Frank Berger
1. Harsh ride. I attribute this to the 17" wheels, which I do think are
good looking. Not bizarrely large like some say. If I decide to keep the
car, for sure I will get smaller wheels. Not sure if I have to go down to
15" do make a difference, or what the wheel/tire choices are in 16,"...

Battery Dead Again!!! by
Gary
1990 Miata with WestCo battery:
I seem to forget to turn my lights off and run down the battery too often.
I'd say it happens about twice a month. I have a portable battery jumper in
my house and its no problem starting the car when I forget to turn off the
lights at home. But it really hurts when...

bouncing ride by
bokuglen
My '97 Miata with 80K miles has an annoying ride. Even on smooth
roads, if I hit a normal street manhole cover, the car bounces around.
I know it is supposed to have a firm ride, but this seems dangerous...
going around a curve and hitting a small bump results in a little side
skid.
I checked the...

Slippery when wet - or how one little 180 can be rather expensive by
Bruno, Copenhagen - Denmark
Time has passed so now I can write about my little incident without
cursing :-)
Aprox. two months ago I was driving home from work in heavy rain,
stopped at the light at a T-junction, took a right turn and did a slow
180 spin which ended with me parked neatly next to the curb in the
opposite...

Thermostat needle by
2forgetmenot
Let me state my problem again with this.
Everyday I warm my car up for 5-15 minutes before driving. After
approximately 2-5 minutes of driving the thermostat needle starts to
slowly drop down to cold, the car down shifts by itself and the engine
roars loudly becaue the RPM's are so high when the...

Lidars high resolution and accuracy is used in the creation of many
maps. It is thus used in the conjunction with aerial photography .In
fact it is useful for mapping terrain models, including the
topography. Many high resolution counter maps could be easily jotted
down with the sensors of the...

Miata deficiencies. by
XS11E
The other day I bought my usual losing lottery ticket and asked myself what
I'd get to replace my 1992 1600 pretty much stock Miata if I won.....
The answer I came up with is I'm almost completely satisfied with the car, it
does what I want, seems pretty much trouble free and is always fun to...

$133.19 for a #$%#$% key!!! by
Carbon
I went to my local lock & safe to get a key cut for my 04 msm, only to
discover it has a transponder which only the dealer can program. I call
the local Mazda dealer, Lakeland Automall (http://lakelandautomall.com) in
Lakeland, FL, and the fellow I spoke to said the key would be $46. A bit

Nice day for a drive / T1R thoughts by
Lanny Chambers
Sunny, mid 50s, light wind, and the roads have been washed clean of sand
and salt--a perfect afternoon for the year's first serious top-down
jaunt into the Ozarks. We headed south for the Two-hour Loop, about 100
miles that include three of our favorite twisty backroads. The
centerpiece, a 10-mile...

shatter shield question by
G. Mack
I just got started in autocross and I'll also be logging some track
time soon. A neighbor who used to drive a MG asked if I planned to
install a shatter shield in my car. I've googled this subject and
don't see any mentioned of a shatter shield in a Miata. Is this
something that only concerns...

Aw: 99 Miata Radiator Cooling Fan Relay? by
Roman
Sure, as the fan is working it might be the relay, cabling or the temperature sensor. I don't have a wiring diagram available to check, it might also be one of the fuses.
Maybe you can find more useful information in the workshop manual on how to locate the damaged part (google or...

Helpful video! by
XS11E[_1_]
You may never need to remove your engine from your Miata (or any
other car) but here's a method that's quick and works very well.
