Beutler Sports Car by
Bill Berckman
I was reading a car related book called the Encylopedia of Sports Cars. Was reading about a car called the Beutler. They were a Swiss coachbuilder. They did some work for Porsche and used some VWs and related parts in creating their vehicles. The book said that they also built a 4 door VW Beetle....

New to me,,, A "Wild Westerner" bus... by
vwluvrs[_2_]
Seems to be a bit of controversy surrounding this colour scheme..
I think the Designers at VWOA were on drugs in 1973 when they came up with this scheme.

Not many VW,s in Turkey by
John[_28_]
Just spent 11 days touring Turkey and only saw one VW. A Beetle about 65
vintage, probably a 1300 from script on boot.( script was in Turkish!).
Pottering along gamely in middle of 3 lane highway.
Looked in excellent condition. 100,s of Renault 12s though in the rural
areas but none in cities.

Cal Look by
Bill Berckman
I just noticed that http://www.cal-look.com/ has decided to close up shop after 13years. That site and RAMVA had been my 2 favorite VW sites. Will miss reading about the VW racing stuff there.

Poor man's billet brake release button by
the man
If you like the aluminum look, replace the button on the T-1 parking
brake lever with the nut that holds the wiper arm on the type 2 ('68 on)
I polish them a little.

Here's a neat feature. by
the man
I put a small VW emblem horizontally on top of the third brake lite and
I can see it's reflection in the rear window in my rear view mirror.
Well, I think it's neat. I have a lot of time on my hands.

P.J.Berg[_8_]
Hi all.
My ISP has a 'As Is' News service, and all the groups I subsribe to have
been dead for months, I thought Usenett was simply dying off..
Well, today I stumbled across an old site listing a freebee News server:
'Freenews.Netfront.Net(temporary)'
It seems to work like a charm..
