OEM rotors for 1998 M3 by mcquarrie
I'm planning to change the front rotors myself. AZ BMW dealers charge $420 for the front pair (Inc tax and BMWCCA discount). bavauto charges $200 for a pair. My question; are third-party rotors any good? Who sells "TRULY"-OEM BMW parts other than BMW?

Active Steering (3-Series or other) by Alex
I'm looking into getting a new 335i convertible (gotta love that hard- top) and wondered if anyone out there had opinions on the Active Steering option. I've read both good and bad reviews and would love some input. For instance, I've heard that it takes a few months to fully adjust to the driver,...

Cars, SUV's, Trucks auctioned up to 90% off the retail value by [email protected]
The government confiscates and seizes vehicles and property everyday. These items become available for purchase at government auctions. Since the government pays nothing for it, they can sell them for any price. There are cars to purchase from $100 and they are not salvaged vehicles. You can...

check/replace lower control arms on 2000 323 by David
Hi, I know very little about BMWs, but a friend was told by her shop that she needs to replace the lower control arms on her 2000 323 wagon/80k miles. She was quoted US$1300. They told her this after she experienced brake squeel after an expensive brake job. Seems absolutely unrelated and it...

BMW paintwork warranty by Bluemax[_2_]
Anyone know what the BMW policy is on paintwork ? My 17 month old 5 series front bumper as started to loose the lacquer and looks a mess. I spoke to a BMW bodyshop and they said it is only 12 months warranty on a bumper and would cost £350+ to rectify ! .My last 5 series did 160 000 miles with...

open spoke in nasty weather by [email protected]
I'm looking at getting Rial Nogaro wheels, they look similar to BBS style mesh. Question: does the open spoke/mesh design allow for more water (i.e. rain ) and debris to get into the wheel well area where the brakes are? Would a wheel with more 'meat' (i.e. the M contour or similar) prevent more...

1,000,000th Locking Post by [email protected]
All, 94 525i My fuel door mechanism will unlock, but won't lock. When I disassemble it, true to form, the motor only spins when I unlock. Does this mean the circuit isn't reversing polarity properly? If so,
