Intake Manifold for Autostick Tranny by
Scott
Can anyone tell me how the main vacuum line from the autostick tranny
control valve attaches to the intake manifold? The intake manifold is
on 72' dual port type 1. I'm looking for that part or how that vacuum
seal is maintained.
Thanks
Scott

Does this product do what it claims? by
Randall Post
This product, PhotoBlocker, comes in an aerosol can. When sprayed on a license
plate it reflects the photo flash back at a red light enforcement camera, thus
effectively making your license plate invisible.

Fuel Gauge troubleshooting by
Steve D.
Can anyone give me some suggestions or hints as to troubleshooting a faulty fuel gauge reading? My '71 SB conv. has a fuel gauge that will not read more than about 1/2 full when the gas tank is filled. I know there's a sending unit but I'm not sure if I have to worry about a fuel gauge vibrator? ...

Floor pan replacement question by
Ervin Charles
Hey Group,
I'm about to completely replace the floor pans on my 76 SB Vert and would
like some pointers from some of you who have done this. I know you must take
a multitude of measurements before cutting out the old pans so that you get
the bolt holes in the right spot to fit the body. Are any of...

different gear shift rod length? by
Marco
Hi,
does anyone happen to know if VW used different lengths for rod that
runs from the gear shift to the transmission (in the center tunnel)?
I have heard from several people who say that VW used different sizes
(length) for the beetles produced from 1968 to 2003.
One guy said that the length...

One more Time - Autostick tranny to intake manifold by
Scott
Maybe I should be more descriptive.
Currenty, the main vacuum line from the control valve attaches to a
PLASTIC nipple. This plastic nipple has been RTV'd and crammed into
the intake manifold. I would like to replace this plastic nipple with
something that maybe is OEM. Again this is for a dual...

Floor pan replacement, part 2 by
Ervin Charles
Okay guys,
I appreciate the input on my previous question about floor pans. I think I
will relocate the frame to the car, slide in the replacement pans and
jacking points and then weld them in after bolting to the body. (Takes care
of alignment!)
Next Question(s).... I have only replaced sections...

When I was replacing the tie rod ends on my '64 Bug a couple months ago I noticed that the fuel hose that goes between

6 Beetles FS in the Atlanta area by
ThaDriver
A friend is selling his bugs (or most of them). He has 5 bodies without
engines, 2 super & 3 regular Beetles. One of them is a little too rusty to
build (in my opinion), but the rest are plenty solid enough to be
worthwhile. Of the 2 supers one has the curved windshield. One of the
regular Beetles...
