Software update for 05 HAH by
Kevin McMurtrie
There are new software updates out for the 2005 Honda Accord Hybrid. I
got one for the ECU/IMA and another for the transmission. Shifting and
clutch performance is a lot less stupid than the original software. In
fact, it could be worthy of a $30K car now.
Original: Tire squealing lurch waking...

'99 Civic automatic tranmission trouble by
Jeff Bertrand
Hi All, new to the group. We just picked up a very clean '99 Civic EX
2-door automatic for my daughter's first car. Lately it's been shuddering,
slipping a shifting harshly, mostly when pulling away from a stop. Seems to
run OK once up to speed though. Coincident with this behavior the...

95 Integra Radiator Help! by
[email protected]
I just took my car to a mechanic because of a radiator fluid leak.
Apparently, my radiator is old and needs to be replaced. I was quoted
about $427 for labor and parts. And also, he was recommending that the
coolant system be flushed and change the parts related to it. And
that's an extra $600,...

Gold Emblem Restoration (?) by
Scott
I have a 2005 Honda CR-V SE in Taffeta White, with the optional gold
emblem kit. While the two "H" logos look alright at the moment, I am
absolutely disgusted with the way the gold "CR-V" emblem has weathered -
or not - the past ten months, including a very mild winter season.
There's what looks...

2001 Accord - please help diagnose drivetrain problem by
George Earl
2001 Accord LX-V6, automatic, 90k miles, all services faithfully
maintained at the dealer, including recent 90k service.
I'm getting a whup-whup-whup sound from the left front (I think) that
increases and decreases in frequency with road speed. It is most
pronounced between 35 - 40 mph but is also...

1998 Accord EX V6 and 2000 EX-L V6 by
Merrill P. L. Worthington
Looking at a couple of Accords. One for my daughter and maybe one for
me. We trust the particular dealer and have done business with them for
several cars in the past.
Daughter first.
She's found a 1998 Accord V6 coupe with around 110,000 miles. Seems to
have been maintained OK (oil, scheduled...

1998 V6 Accord EGR Flow Insufficient P0401 by
John Edwards
Hi,
I have a 1998 Accord V6, and have recently got the "Check Engine
Light". Since I have the OBD II decoder, I got the code out, and found
that it is P0401 - EGR Flow Insufficient". From a little research on
google, found that this might be a known Honda Issue (TSB-99-085) and
Honda has a recall...

Radio Antenna Snapped Off... by
[email protected]
of my '94 Civic. What are my options for a fix? Haven't taken off the
plate thingy with the 2 screws yet to look inside, and I don't care
much for the dash removal scenario I read somewhere. There must be an
alternative.
Thanks for any help!

oil observations by
jim beam
have two things to report since the head gasket change a couple of weeks
ago:
1. changed out the oil twice to help get rid of the grit, and the last
time, used castrol gtx 5w-20. using normal gtx 5w-30, on a 1200 mile
high speed weekend like last weekend, i'd normally burn about a pint of
oil. ...

Timing belt question by
accord_owner
I have a 97 Accord. I read that sometime after 1997, Honda started using a
better type of timing belt that lasts longer.
If I get my timing belt replaced by a Honda dealer, will they replace it
with the better timing belt, or will they still give me the older type of
timing belt?

94 Civic 80amp fuse issue by
[email protected]
I go to get into the car, and my belt started to whine - but this was
usual, I just haven't had a chance to adjust the belt tension since
initially putting a new belt on.
I drove less than 20 feet, and the car jolted to a stall. I say
"alright, perhaps I just killed it, no problem" and tried to...

I have a 1999 Honda Accord LX. I can start the car fine. Drive it for 2
min. Shut the engine off. Then it takes 3 or 4 times to start. It will
start then die. If I can catch it in time I really give it the gas and
its okay. Fuse to fuel pump okay

2000 Accord mystery connectors by
Nasty
Hallelujah!!!
The Accord is running like a scalded dog.
It turns out one of the connectors, the one I called a square brown one, is
capped and of no use in the current application. I FINALLY found the plug
for the black oval connector, connected it and nada... No difference.
I finally realized...
