Poor man's billet brake release button by the man
If you like the aluminum look, replace the button on the T-1 parking brake lever with the nut that holds the wiper arm on the type 2 ('68 on) I polish them a little. -- Karma ; what a concept!

Here's a neat feature. by the man
I put a small VW emblem horizontally on top of the third brake lite and I can see it's reflection in the rear window in my rear view mirror. Well, I think it's neat. I have a lot of time on my hands. -- Karma ; what a concept!

New aircooled toy by Max Welton
.... I mean TOOL. Yeah, that's it. One of my neighbors was selling off equipment in preparation for selling his property. I've helped him work on this old tractor so he gave me a good deal on it. So it's a 1982 John Deere model 317 with several attachments (including a plow). Strong enough to pull...

Not winning - valve geometry by ChrisKlinger
Hi group. Finally got my heads yesterday. Today, I'm set to get my car running again... but wait! Could there be _more_ surprises? But of course! Pushrods are too short. From the look of the adjusters, geometry was never right. In fact, I notice that the rocker arms are free to slide back and...

Back from the dead by [email protected]
Some of you might remember me, John. I had two Bugs and a kit car. One of the Bugs was a '58 I bought from Mikah. Well, it is like coming back from somewhere else to be posting here and I hope I am welcome to do some more. After a couple heart attacks and other health interruptions, I finally...

What a _wonderful_ day. My ghia attempted suicide. 15 miles between jobs, and suddenly i'm trailing smoke like a stricken fighter. Even the passenger compartment had clouds of smoke. Pulled over, realized damage was done, continued on on 3 cylinders, with people behind me seriously irritated...

Kids and VW's... by Allanw
Groan... I have 2 little boys: Solomon, 2.5 years and Van, 3 months. Obviously, Van is pretty easy going on the cars, but Solomon has been known to wreak a bit of havoc.... usually just easy things, like "helping" fix the car by putting bolts thought the holes in the wheels, or inside the...

internetless purgatory by ChrisKlinger
Hi Family and Friends Just back after close to 3 weeks with no internet access; my roomate didn't pay the bill (his part of the deal). I couldn't take it anymore, and paid up today. I feel like I've spent the better part of the month low on my air-cooled coolant level ;)
