M C

judder when engaging the clutch from standing. It seems more noticable when
the car is being driven from cold or negotiating a parking space in first
gear etc. The clutch is not slipping and the car has done 88,000...

Service at BMW or Elsewhere? by
AlanG
A friend, who works at an independent garage, does all the servicing of my
1998 528 but should I take the car to a BMW dealer for servicing all the
time or some of the time, on the basis that they will have all the
diagnostic equipment and may identify faults that my friend cannot identify?
Thanks.

E39 AC problem by
Morten Fossum
Thanks
The air filter is clean. As I understand from the lay-out og the heating and
AC system, the evaporater for the AC stands before the heater element. This
way you can use the AC in combination with the heater to dehumidify the air
and then warm it up to what ever temp you like.
I have a...

2001 740I(L) Questions by
FSJ
Hello All,
I have two questions for those who own or those who know.
1. I have noticed two different GPS displays in the 2001 model year. One has
a tape deck and the GPS screen is on the far right side. The other is
centered and I don't see a spot for a tape. What are the main differences in
both...

Plugs on tires- they fixed it with a internal patch, not a plug . . . by
news
a nail found in the middle of the tire not near the sidewall.
so instead of a plug they put in a rubber patch.
they glue it .supposedly its heated too.
garage said its better.

i dont want a blowout.
its internal to the tire, so the pressure

My wish list is the following:
1) BMW 330 covertible
2) Hardtop (no it will never happen)

What's with E36 M3 asking prices? by
303squadron
What is it with the crazy prices some E36 M3 owners/dealers are trying to
get? This summer I toyed with getting one, but was turned off by the
attitudes of some of the owners I tried to deal wth. These guys (mostly
private parties) were trying to get upwards of $25,000 (some, a lot upwards)
for a...
