Swapping 351C into 68 Coupe?? by Jeffery
Hullo, I'm contemplating of slotting a 351 cleveland from a Fairlane 500 into my 68 coupe but wondering: 1. Would it fit with the original cast iron headers. 2. Could I use the original 289 engine mounting brackets. (They however look different). 3. Once installed can I swap the 2 barrel with my...

Question About 71-73 Eyebrow Fender Extensions by nospam
I'm going to be putting the fenders back on my '72 mach1 as soon as I finish some engine bay painting details and the engine is installed. Was there supposed to be any type of rubber gaskets installed between the front fender and "eyebrow" extensions? I know I need to paint these individually,...

91 2.3L won't start by [email protected]
My 91 2.3L mustang quit starting last night. It was running fine until I stopped by a friends house. When I was parking I did a pretty good curb check that jostled the car a bit, but didn't think it was a big deal. Go out to start the car and get some clicking then nothing. I had dome lights and a...

Mustang 06 V6 A/C noise by [email protected]
I have had my new 06 Mustang for a week now. Within the first few days I started to notice that while diving with the A/C on there is a noticeable sound (like a burst of air) that occurs every 5 to 15 seconds like clockwork. This noise is loud enough to hear inside the car with the windows up and...

Replace stock shifter/handle by mustangjoe
Looking to replace the stock shifter and handle on my '03 GT. What do you recommend? I've heard that the Steeda and Pro 5.0 are pretty good, but noisey. Has anyone used an MGW?

FS: '95 Mustang GT, Central NJ by [email protected]
The time has come for me to sell my trusted steed. This is a gorgeous Bright Atlantic Blue 1995 Mustang GT which has been fawned over and meticulously maintained over its many reliable years of service to me as my daily driver. While the car has a lot of miles on it (249,500), it still runs well....

engine rattle by Erik
My engine 66 289, has a loud rattle/knock at low rpm. As soon as the engine is under load the rattle is gone. My first guess was crank/rod bearings, but I understand they should be noisy under load and not at idle. Could it be the pistons? I know the cilinders are worn but compression is still ok...

Stream Holes by Joe
I just purchased some Edelbrock 60229 for my '67 Mustang. It appears that I have an early 289 and must drill some steam holes. According to Edelbrock I should only drill holes on the number 1 and 5 cylinders. I'm wondering why I shouldn't drill eight stream holes since the old ones at the top of...

4.0 V6 2005 milage by Culburt
I just returned from a drive from Chicagoland to Maine, and back. US 90 most of both directions. 27 MPG average, even with the time through Chicago & that State of construction once called Ohio. AC/defoggers on the whole time as it rained most of the time. High test all the time, I have learned...
