After Market bumpers rust like mad!! by
Joe Cali Next Generation-usa
I replaced my 74 bumpers with what is called triple chrome plated at
extra cost. Left out in the rain they started to rust. You must keep
several coats of wax on the bumpers. The bottoms where I did not wax
is now completely rusted. Just a warning. If you can get a good set
of original bumpers....

Oil Change by
Bill Berckman
Changed the oil on the 67 today. Was detirmined that not one of the 6 nuts was
going to fall into the drained oil as per usual this time. Not one of them
did, but when tightening them back up, I dropped the ratchet and socket in the
oil. Oh well maybe next time. :o)

6 Beetles FS in the Atlanta area by
ThaDriver
A friend is selling his bugs (or most of them). He has 5 bodies without
engines, 2 super & 3 regular Beetles. One of them is a little too rusty to
build (in my opinion), but the rest are plenty solid enough to be
worthwhile. Of the 2 supers one has the curved windshield. One of the
regular Beetles...

Gas tank fuel hose by
Mike64Bug
When I was replacing the tie rod ends on my '64 Bug a couple months ago I noticed that the fuel hose that goes between
the gas tank and fuel line in the frame head looked like it was in need of replacement. Probably original.

FS: 74 Super Beetle by
Shane
I am selling my 74 Super. In the last year and a half I have replaced the
pistons and cylinders, coil, carbuerator, fuel tank, and tires. I also set
the valves, changed the oil, and changed the transmission gear oil. I have
probably put less than 200 miles on this car the 2 years I have owned...

Floor pan replacement, part 2 by
Ervin Charles
Okay guys,
I appreciate the input on my previous question about floor pans. I think I
will relocate the frame to the car, slide in the replacement pans and
jacking points and then weld them in after bolting to the body. (Takes care
of alignment!)
Next Question(s).... I have only replaced sections...

One more Time - Autostick tranny to intake manifold by
Scott
Maybe I should be more descriptive.
Currenty, the main vacuum line from the control valve attaches to a
PLASTIC nipple. This plastic nipple has been RTV'd and crammed into
the intake manifold. I would like to replace this plastic nipple with
something that maybe is OEM. Again this is for a dual...

different gear shift rod length? by
Marco
Hi,
does anyone happen to know if VW used different lengths for rod that
runs from the gear shift to the transmission (in the center tunnel)?
I have heard from several people who say that VW used different sizes
(length) for the beetles produced from 1968 to 2003.
One guy said that the length...
