More transmission questions by Thomas Cameron
OK, so I found out that the Lightning engine that I am putting into my 68 coupe was mated up to an E4OD transmission, not an AOD. So I am wondering - since it seems like it is going to be a nightmare to get the Lightning's computer to work correctly without the tranny it is expecting to talk to, I...

Brake caliper rebuild question. by Mark C.
I'm rebuilding the stock ft calipers in my '69. What's a good lubricant to use on the seals that's compatible with brake fluid or should I just use brake fluid itself? It's not a good lubricant. -- Mark -- "I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates who once said, "I drank what?". " Val...

Power steering with 1994 EFI 351W engine in 68 coupe? by Thomas Cameron
Like I mentioned a few weeks ago, I am putting a 1994 EFI 351W engine from an SVT Lightning into my '68 coupe. The '68 has power steering, and I'd like to keep it. The engine pulled from the Lightning has a PS pump attached. Does anyone know how hard it would be to make it work with the '68's...

Mustang with "salvage" title: Impact on value, sale-ability? by [email protected]
Have a friend with a 66 Mustang in very good to excellent condition (restored, I think) but the title -- this is in California, if that makes any difference -- has "Salvage" on it. He wants to sell the car, and is concerned about the 'salvage' thing. What impact does that have and, if a negative...

How do you remove the 5th gear synchro hub from a '95 T-5 by [email protected]
I'm trying to remove the 5th gear from the cluster shaft on a '95 T-5. I am stuck on the synchronizer hub. It won't come off. I drove the pin out of the 5th gear shifter fork, and I also removed the external C-clip from the end of the cluster shaft. This allowed me to remove, in order, (1) an...

'69 brake rotor question. by Mark C.
I'm installing a set of new, quality stock replacement rotors on my '69 mach. What is the best way to keep the "rough" areas from turning rust brown? I'm not sure if caliper paint rated at 900' will hold up, especially in the cooling fins area. Plating or buying a plated set of rotors is not...

Is there a programers for a 1997/2000 Mustang by Dan
Hypertech has a Power Programmer for 1997. Diablo's Predator goes back to 1998 but you could call and check to make sure there is no PCM version overlap. The SCT Xcalibrator handles PCMs back to 1996 but the original version doesn't allow end user customization. You have to have their tuning...

REQ: 1993 Ford Mustang LX Convertible owner's manual, please by [email protected]
Peace and health to all, I recently came into possession of this car. I know it's the 2.3 L, 4-cyl. engine (not the 5.0 with over 105 horses)... Unfortunately, there was no owner's manual in the vehicle upon receiving it. I don't know the first thing about Fords or fuel injection, let alone how to...

Question on wiring of 97 A/C pressure switch by [email protected]
A few weeks ago I posted a problem with a family members 97 V6 A/C not working. A poster suggested removing the A/C pressure switch and hitting it a few times because sometimes it can get stuck. Well I tried that and it did not work, but I noticed that on the switch there are 2 electrical pins, but...
