Replacing Struts on a 1995 Olds Cutlass by
[email protected]
I have a 1995 Olds Cutlass Supreme that has 151,000 miles. I'd like to
get another two years out it since that is when my HELOC loan will be
paid off. The car sags on the LR wheel and overall does not ride that
well. Also, the ABS light comes on quite a bit whenever I turn in to a
driveway or...

88 300E auto transmission problem by
[email protected]
It is an 88 gasoline 300E, straight 6 cyl. auto trans, and it is
getting more difficult to get into high gear.
I sometimes can hit the passing gear and it will upshift, after a surge
forward for a few hundred feet, great going then, when it does upshift
to high gear. but mostly it likes to run in...

'98 Forester-harsh 1st to 2nd shift by
Stephen Early
I have a '98 Subaru Forester with automatic transmission and all wheel
drive. The 1st to 2nd shift is very abrupt, even if you're accelerating
gently. It feels even a bit more harsh than a full-throttle shift. The
fluid was changed but that didn't help. One mechanic says there's nothing
that...

changing headlights by
I love Edsels
I have a 97 Ford Ranger and don't like the headlights. I've been told
that replacing them w/ lights 01 or newer will make a big difference.
Do they just bolt right into place like the existing ones? Or do I
need to make some alterations?
TIA

Rain-X removal by
[email protected]
I have created a problem on my wife's 2003 300M Chrysler.
I cleaned the windshield, then applied Rain-X. Somehow that application ended
up streaked, so I wanted to remove it and re-apply. I used a windshield polish
that has worked well for me before in removing all the road tar, sap etc....

Do Fuel Tank Additives (Techron) Work? by
Finite Guy
Hi All: Just wondering if anyone has ever proven that these fuels
additives at the automotive stores really work. I tried using Techron
and it seems odd that this little amount of fluid diluted with a tank
of fuel is going to do anything at all. I also recall that there are
poeple who swear by...

Last night when leaving the office park lot, the engine begun miss
firing, and after about five minutes set the service engine soon...

Is 15000 mile maintenance necessary? by
[email protected]
I've heard from a friend that 15000 mile maintenance is not really
necessary. You only need to do regular oil change/maintenance and
30,000 mile maintenances. He said 15000 mile maintenance is just a way
for dealers to get money out of you that's not that necessary. (well
I've seen dealer ads about...
