Can anyone identify this 1920s vintage four door sedan? The photo is dated July 1931 and was taken either in Connecticut or New York. The unusual thing about the car is that all doors, including the front doors, are suicide doors. A close-up of the rear wheel hub is...

insurance recommendations by cdotspace
I have a 1978 Alfa Romeo. The previous owner suggested getting insurance from J. C. Taylor. Does anyone have experience with them? Does anyone recommend anyone else? The car is garaged, driven only for pleasure, not to work or shopping.

Exhaust System Manufacturers by George Patterson
I have a '40 Ford Deluxe with the original hot air heater. There is a heat exchanger (looks sort of like a small muffler) that appears to be part of the exhaust pipe. All the parts suppliers I've found sell just the bare pipes. I believe these were used with the optional hot water heating...

I am looking for a late 1930's, modest car. It is for a film production and the story is set in Studio City, CA 1938. What cars were standard on the road in 1938? After the depression, what was the kind of car that developed into a sort of consumer affordable car? What cars were popular? How...

What happens when battery leads are switched? by Marshall Schuon
Hi gang, Just realized today that a garage reversed the battery cables on my positive-ground '53 Packard. What, if anything, does that do to the car? I realize that my gauges might read backwards, but is there any serious damage to the system? Thanks, Marshall
