the + on the battery and the wire to the starter to crank it up. Well

'78 Super Beetle, unidentified wires, engine stalling by
[email protected]
There are two wires next to the double relay in the rear luggage
compartment of my '78 Super beetle. Both of the wires are female spade
connections. They are both white and of similar length to the white
wires that go into the engine compartment side of the double relay. I
have not been able to...

Camper pop-up canvas. by
Bill[_20_]
Hello,
Is West Coast Metric the most reasonably priced place to get the
canvas replacement for my 75 Westy? I ordered from them years ago a
sunroof canvas for my ex - 63. They still seem competitively priced
(about $305 w/shipping), but maybe I'm missing somebody else.
Thanks in advance,
Bill

Cleaning spots from pop-up camper '75 by
Bill[_20_]
Hello,
The white top on this has many small black spots on it. Is there
something specific to use to get these off, or are they there to stay?
Thanks in advance,
Bill

Dual port resources by
[email protected]
I just bought a 1969 std. Beetle. The engine is not original, as it's
a 1600 cc dual port. I don't even know what "dual port" is exactly.
I'm assuming the term is related to the intake manifold or injectors,
so I'd appreciate it if anybody could point me toward a good online
resource outlining...

Rear Pop-out windows by
Eddie
I am looking to buy pop-outs for my 65, but I'm not sure what year range
will fit? I know 65 starts the bigger size of windows, but does it go all
the way to the end of Beetle production?

I was just doing a quick oil change before a long trip tomorrow, when
I went to remove the oil strainer plate, all of the studs came out
with the nuts. OK, no biggie I thought, I'll just screw 'em right back
in again. It then occurred to me that one of...

Odd noises while driving by
Mike West
As I made my return trip from the car show here yesterday, I noticed a very
disturbing and loud noise in the back of my 66 Bug. It was very inconsistant
but seemed to happen when I might hit a big pavement seam of bump with my
rear right hand tire. It was as If someone had smacked the torsion bar...
