C5 oil pressure varying by
Homeless
I just noticed my oil pressure is now varying, going up during and after
acceleration, and then dropping when not accelerating.
It goes between 35 and 52 lbs.
I never saw that before and do not think it's supposed to do that, is it?
I bought an extended warranty, but I'd appreciate your thoughts...

Cover options by
Andrew DeFaria
Living here in sunny Phoenix and approaching the summer I'm wondering
what are some of the better options for covering my 2008? What I'm
looking for is something simply and hopefully not too expensive but
effective. Summers here are often in the 100's and 110's! I'm looking to
keep the inside...

Z06 by
Lawrence Lugar
I love the Corvette Z06 - just love it, on paper and off.
But I wouldn't spend 75K for a new Z06...I wouldn't even spend 50K for a
Vette...
I'd spend, however, 50K for a 911 Turbo - albeit an earlier production w/ a
few miles.

Don't let these guys get to you.
It is Your by Gawd Merkin Right to buy whatever car you like.
If you want to spend that kind of money on an ugly slower car, it certainly
is your business.
In the meantime you don't mind if I come over and stink up the Porsche
forums do you? Turnabout is fair...

WTC Towers: The Case For Controlled Demolition
By Herman Schoenfeld
In this article we show that "top-down" controlled demolition
accurately accounts for the collapse times of the World Trade Center
towers. A top-down controlled demolition can be simply characterized
as a "pancake collapse" of a...

Corvette C6RS convertible by
Fred C. Dobbs
Here is a link to an article on the new C6rs convertible by Pratt and
Miller. It is powered by a Katech Performance 8.2-liter (500ci)
all-aluminum small-block V-8 engine that produces 600 horsepower and
600 lb.-ft of torque. The link will only be good until next Thursday
when a new article will...

C5 ('02) Security Light ? by
PJ
Have had the Security Light come on while
driving, usually after hitting a pot hole or
expansion joint. Seems to happen more often
with ride control set to 'sport' than 'tour.'
It always resets OK when the engine is shut
down. No starting issues.
Quick diagnostic test drive at dealer ($55)...

C5 / Z06 Question by
Roscoe[_2_]
I recently purchased a white 99 C5 hardtop. The previous owner had
applied Z06 logos on the front fenders just behind the front wheels.
The dealership I bought the car from removed the logos and now I'm left
with residue in the shape of the logo that is impossible to remove -
trust...

Ethanol / gasoline mix by
RT[_2_]
I don't own a Corvette yet so I'm just wondering with all the talk
about ethanol / gasoline mixes, is it safe to use this in stock
Corvettes? Any limit on how much % ethanol to use in the Corvette for
acceptable performance? Typically I see 15% ethanol mixes but have
been told there is as high as...

FWIW story by
old vette admirer
Today I was telling my wife that I'd like to buy a C3 convertible but
pre 1973 (to get chrome bumpers). Hours later as we were driving out
of our street, I had to wait for a car to pass before I could make my
turn and low and behold, it was a C3 convertible with chrome bumpers
(appeared to be in...
