Problem getting SW2 (automatic '95) into park by
Doug
Hi All.
I ran into this problem over the past few days, after driving for
several hours my car didn't want to go into 'Park'. It took several
tries but finally worked. I am concerned that I might be facing a
series repair on a car that has a lot of miles on it (nearly 170,000).
I will add that...

Engine having trouble keeping steady coolant temp by
MPost
I have a 1993 SC-2 with 105K on it. Up until now, the temperature gauge has
always been quite steady in all types of weather and driving conditions,
typically staying just below the mid-point, or just above it. I just noticed
that the engine runs hot when I have the AC on (it goes over 3/4 of the...

96 Saturn SC1 Stereo Question by
Jeff
I'm getting an adapter that plugs into the receiver of my Saturn so I
can listen to my MP3 player through the AUX mode on my stereo. My
only problem is, I have no idea where the receiver is. I looked in
the trunk in the side panels, which is where my receiver was in
another car, but didn't find...

Lane
I've just finished up the write-up from our eighth annual rally which took
place from July 27 - 31, 2005. Just when I think they can't get any better
from one year to the next, they do. Thanks to everyone who made the effort
to show up and join in on the activities.
I've added 14 pages and...

New to the group by
Justin
Hi everyone, just wanted to post an introduction. I have a 2004 Saturn
ION 3 (got it late last model year), and I'm really happy with it. I
actually find myself recommending Saturn all the time now, which I
don't think I've ever done with other cars that I own.
So, a question, to ensure that this...

car stalls by
iset4all
I have a 96 sl1, when the car is running at norm rpms, it stalls. When I
rev it up, it runs okay. But after it runs for a little bit, the engine
stalls again. If I let it sit for a bit, the car will start up again and
run okay for a little bit and stall again. Any suggestions?

LS100 Security system by
autotechgirl
My security light comes on intermittently and sometimes the little wrench
appears too. The other day, out of the blue, the car wouldn't start.
After trying to restart the car a couple of times and then waiting for
about 10 minutes, the car started. I'm suspecting that the security
system has...

96 sl2 tranny problems by
christianone
I have a 1996 SL2 automatic. It developed "hard" shifts around 94k miles, a
few months ago. I have at a ATRA certified shop checking it out. They said
first that the seleniod (sp?) valve assembly needed replaced, specifically
the pressure valve selenoid. Once they started on the job the said...

possible transmission problems by
kuba24
I took my 2001 SL2 for a 90K service at Saturn. They changed the
transmission fluid and said everything was fine with the transmission.
Next day while backing out I noticed that it slips when I put it in
reverse. Basically, whenever I start the engine and put the car in
reverse it slips. It did...

Ack!!!! Undercar fuel line replacement?!?! by
Philip Nasadowski
Ok, here's what happened - yesterday, I hit some sort of debris on Rt3
in NJ. Well, anyway, it apparently punched a hole in the return line,
right under the driver's side door where it bends inward.
It's plastic, and patching it's gonna be a bitch, cause it's on the
curve.
How hard is it to just...

Fuel hose busted - and fixed! :) by
Philip Nasadowski
Well, I got the new hose from saturn and decided to just stick it in
there tonight.
Amazingly, you can in fact do this without jacking the car up. You *do*
need the hose popper tool and a new clip if yours had a clip on the end.
The brackets drop semi easy with a 10mm deep socket to remove...
