First tiny 1.5mm crack in 1992 soft top by Mike
Hello everyone, My Buffalo, NY '92 Miata with 41,000 miles on it just developed a tiny crack approx 1.5mm long near a place where the top folds when it is moved up or down (middle right side.) The top stays down most of the summer, as I only use it in good weather for pleasure driving.....except...

Splash-pan question... by Peer Landa
Recently I installed some Jackson Racing sway-bars, but never put the splash-pan back on -- I was thinking that the car would maybe run cooler without it. Is there any reason to have a splash-pan here in California, perhaps other than for aerodynamics..? -- peer

Space Behind Temporary Tire in Trunk by Christopher Muto
I removed my temporary spare from the trunk the other day and found a pretty large void behind it. Can this space somehow be used to store the jack? Are there other creative uses that people have come up with to take advantage of that space? Thanks. 95 Triple Black

Toyo T1-R by Barry
I need tires and was planning to get the Toyo T1-S, but my local shop said that they are no longer available and have been replaced by the T1-R. Does anyone out there have any experience with these? In particular, is the ride as good as the T1-S? Barry

Asking for a litte, off topic help by KWS
I have to admit that this is not about the Miata, but this is one of the better newsgroups for information. So I hope nobody minds that I ask. We are considering buying a car that has the "check engine" light on. Anticipating that this might be the case when I went to look at it, I brought the...

Robbins top questions by Lisa
First, honestly, how long has it taken anyone else to put one of these things on?! Now, there are those two straps inside the car's top from the B & C down to the back of the top. They're not really supposed to interefere with the velcro part of the headliner part, are they? And how in the hell...

want to drive my Miata NYC->SF? by [email protected]
I am wondering if it can be/have been done. Would anyone be interested to drive my 1997 Miata across the country from NYC to SF some time in September? The car has a luggage rack and a hitch bike rack. I would throw in $250 for gas and a Jet Blue ticket back. It's not working out time-wise for me...

2002 Protege 5: Galvanized body panels? by [email protected]
Does anyone know if Mazda used galvanized body/body panels on the 2002 Protege 5? I have rust forming on the painted surface just above the rear wheel wells on my 3+ year old protege. The corrosion seems to have started at the edge of the sheet metal in the wheel well. I tried to avoid a rusty...

2005 Miata MAZDASPEED by [email protected]
Hi! Owners of MAZDASPEEDs, From your experience, what is your general opinion about the car? When I test drove the car it seemed to have a sudden surge in power when the turbo kicked in. It wasn't very smooth. Do all the "mazdaspeeds" do this? Cheers, '99 Silver Miata

Strange tire problem by Dan_Musicant
My Mazda 1997 LX626 has its original tires: Firestone P195/65R14 88S The spare isn't full size. The car is little used - it has less than 16,000 miles on it. I keep plastic valve stem caps screwed onto my valve stems. I took a trip around 3 years ago, about 700 miles round trip, and an odd thing...
