No Cobra, No Ford? by

I thought this stat was very interesting.
"Ninety-two percent of (Mustang) Cobra customers wouldn't have
considered a Ford product," Thai-Tang said.

No compression in #6 cylinder by
[email protected]
I have a '66 Mustang with a 289 rebuilt about a year and a half ago.
It has run very well until a couple of days ago when it felt like it
had lost a cylinder. My local mechanic did both dry and wet
compression tests and determined I have no compression in the #6
cylinder. He says the problem...

No Diagnostic Connector by
jonezzzman[_2_]
OK..I have a CIL on my 89 GT. I comes on when I'm cruising, after its
warmed up. If I accelerate, the light goes off. Otherwise it goes off
and on randomly while I'm cruising on the highway.
I've only owned this mustang for about a year. It had several
modifications when I bought it (ie...

No long Jeep and Mustang guy :-( by
Carl
I have always thought the perfect vehicle combination was a Jeep (Lifted
with big tires) and a Mustang 'vert. Well I recently bought my 99 'vert and
I all ready had a 91 Cherokee with a 3.5" lift and 31" tires. Came out this
morning, and what's not there? My freaking Cherokee! So now, it's just...

No Power Adders > '05 GT Mustang Goes 12.3s @ 112 by
Patrick
Yeah, you read it right, a 12.31 @ 112.76 mph.
Paul Svinicki (Paul's High Performance in Jackson, Michigan based
lined a bone-stock 5-speed '05 GT Mustang and ran 13.90 @ 101 mph.
Stock rear-wheel horsepower was 274.8 with 300 lb-ft of torque.
Then they added:

No true cure for the windows blues :-( by
mC
I was asking about a "screeching" window problem in a previous post and
today I tore into my door. What I found was that the guide bar used to
guide the window straight up and down was a little worn. With some more
digging the part that runs up and down the guide bar and holds the glass has...

no wipers, rodent damage by
Rusty
Had the very first non normal repair on my 99 stang last week. For
some reason, the wipers wouldn't come on. Checked the fuse, relay
etc. Could hear it clicking but couldn't find out why the wipers
wouldn't come on. Dropped it off and they called me back a few hours
later to tell me a funny...

Noise from steering wheel by
[email protected]
2004 Mustang Mach1, 5 speed, 24000 miles
whenever I put the AC on, when turning there's a dinking noise and you
can feel the vibration from the impact of the dink. Nothing else seems
to be wrong.
I am not sure if its a coincidence that the AC happens to be on - or if
its related to the car...

Noisy clutch on 2K GT by
Mark G7#9
Hi,
My GT has 110K on it with original tranny. Recently, when I press the
clutch pedal all the way down, a screetchy high pitch sound is heard
and goes away when the gears are engaged again.
Aside from the noise, the car drives as well as before. Anything I
should check ???
Thanks
Mark,

NoOp Drives a Clutchless Cobra by
[email protected]
Sorry, it wasn't a homemade job or a factory fluke... an auto-equipped
Cobra, but rather I was limping home a '93 that suffered a broken
clutch cable. But I must say the experience was a driving lesson. I
always knew it was possible to drive clutchless, but it wasn't
something I ever tried. ...

Here are some notes from test drives I did during the holidays. Enjoy, or scorn.
Test drive #1: An all-black, and with what looked like a fine blue metallic, Scion FR-S/6-speed auto w/paddle shifters. First, let me say thank you Toyota for NOT festooning the FR-S with all sorts of skirts, slats,...
