2003 Pilot Clunking Calipers by
John Casey
Has anyone had any experience with the brake calipers clunking on the first
brake application after changing direction? The dealer says this is normal
for this car. I told them it's bull for a $35K car to make that kind of
noise.
Thanks,
John C.

Would you view it as an investment that will pay off for them some day?
How does the economics of licensing work out for Toyota? Don't they sell
their technology to Ford...

91 Honda Accord - Leaking Wiper Fluid by
David Macaskill
I've got a leak in my wiper fluid line. I filled the tank with water,
ran the car, and activated the pump. Water made it to the windscreen
but also gushed out from underneath the car just in front of the
driver's door. I had the hood up for all of this and there was no
obvious leak. Problem is the...

I recently had my stereo aquired (stolen) out of my 92 Honda Accord Ex.
I drove the car the next day but after that next night the battery was
dead. I have jumped the car and after driving a while the battery
seems to charge as I can turn the car off and then back on. However,
after leaving it...

Prelude w/ Titan alarm by

I'm reaching into the "wayback machine" here; but I need some info on an
older auto alarm system. I recently purchased a 1995 Honda Prelude that has
an (aftermarket, I think) anti-theft system installed. At this point, all I
know about it is from the window decal and the name on the remote...

97 Honda Accord seatbelt retraction problem by
[email protected]
I have a 1997 Honda Accord with about 140K miles.
The seat belt on the drivers side doesnt retract well anymore.
Often the belt gets caught in the door when I leave the car.
Perhaps this is normal wear and tear on the seat belt mechanism after
so many miles. Just wondering if anyone has a similar...

ECU function in 88-91 Civics by
Chopface
Hey,
I was wondering if anyone has a general idea about how long it takes the
ECU to 'learn' to its greatest potential. I'm not sure of the best way
to frame this question, but it relates to my observations of my '91 Si's
engine speed relative to the car's speed.
When I go on highway trips I'm...

99 Civic Check Engine Light by
disallow
Hi there,
Got my sister's car with the CEL on, she doesn't
maintain it that well... All of the ignition
stuff looked wore out, so I replaced Cap, rotor,
Wires, and plugs. However, the light came back
on.
What is the procedure to check for the ECU
trouble code if I don't have a scanning tool?

I recently replaced the throttle position sensor on my '88 Accord.
According to a recent posting by Jim Beam about fixing TPS's, after you
replace it you need to reset the computer. How is this done? For that
matter, where is the computer?

94 Accord Shifter Locked and Brake Lights Out by

unless they use the Shift Lock key beside the shifter. At the same time,
the brake lights stopped working. I have heard a little bit about this, but
I have no idea what it is. Is there something a DIY person can do, or...

Need to replace thermo switch and thermostat in 95 Civic by
DesignGuy
I believe I've got a bad thermo switch/sensor in my 1995 Honda Civic LX. The
radiator fan does not come on when the AC is switched on (though the
compressor fan works okay). I checked the fan relay by putting 12VDC across
the coil and I hear a click, plus I get continuity across the contacts....
