Cruise brain goes... where? by smurfless
I have the Bentley manual and the Cruise Control Brain/Computer component doesn't appear to go in my 1997 M3/4 where it's shown in the manual. In fact the item in the position that is chalked down for the cruise box is the rear window controller (discovered in a VERY funny way). So. Anyone have an...

Despirately WTB: NEW(IOW assembled, unused) E36 (1994 BMW 325is) sport pkg. drivers seat, price no object (well, ok, not $5 grand or something!) by KMS - Brett Anderson
Ummm, What exactly do you need? Your entire seat can't be shot. It's not possible, unless your interior caught fire, in which case, a new car would be cheaper. And where are you located? As shipping a seat any distance is financially unviable.

New six cylinder engines have no dipstick by John Burns
OK, maybe I'm slow on the uptake. But I've only just realised the new sixes have no dipstick! I'm GUESSING they just have an idiot light or MID error message for low oil level. When that comes up I suppose you either guess how much oil to add or add a fixed amount (say a litre). What fun. I think...

E39 driver's seat clip by marlin
Does anybody know what that metal clip on the right driver's seat rail on an E39 is for? I know it prevents the driver's seat from going as far back as the passenger's seat, but for what purpose? I'm 6' 3" so I took it off, but I wonder if I'm somehow making the car dangerous to drive or...

Erratic Air Conditioning by Roger Matthews
My 2001 330i SE Sports has started to suffer from erratic a/c. When you switch it on, it often doesn't start but if you press the on/off, auto, Up/face/down, fan speed (as far as I can see at random) it will sometimes start. It sometimes then goes off after a short time but sometimes it then runs...

I have a '96 328I that just started having a problem with the brake lights. The brake lights constantly stay on regardless if any of the brakes are in use. The computer does not give any messages for errors. I have had the well known brake light circuit error in the past, but it was fixed with a...

Radio Removal Question by Scott
OK, I think I am going to try and remove the radio, open it up and clean out the volume pot. I think that is what is causing the noise. Any ideas on how to remove a radio from a 1992 525i BMW? I see the little hinges on the side, do you stick something in the holes to release the unit? Thanks!

Noise at slow turns by Ct Midnite
1991 325 I convertible At very slow turns my car make a noise I would describe as a rubbing sound. At first that's what I thought was happening but I couldn't figure out what would be rubbing. Then I remembered my 4 wheel drive pickup makes a terrible racket when I turn in 4 wheel at slow speeds...

Stockman's Folly by KMS - Brett Anderson
> Remember ..... the JOB you save could be your OWN !!! And the only way to save that job is to get rid of these ****ing UNION morons. It appalls me that there can be people on this planet that still believe in unions and religion. Un-****ing-believable as it seems, it's true, they're out there.
