bleeding master cylinder? by

Hello, All!
I screwed up when I installed a new MC and didn't bench bleed it. Have bled
the brakes but pedal is still spongy so I suspect there is air in the MC.
So question is, should I remove it from the car and start over, or is there
another way to remove the air? What about a pressure...

warning lights blows fuse by

I have a 72 super beetle and I wondered why every time i turned the
switch it blew a fuse. So I found out the it was the wire from the
warning lights that connect to the fuse box so i disconected that wire
from the fuse box and the turned the key and it didnt blow the fuse so
now i know what...

Lower End Engine Rebuild by

I have to split my case to replace the crank. Are there other things I
should automatically replace or should I measure and check things
individually?
This is my first lower end, splitting the case rebuild.
It's a 67 engine 'H' case with 85.5mm pistons making it a 1600cc.

Spinning starter problem by

I've just installed a new starter and it only engages with the flywheel
about 50% of the time, the rest of the time it just spins. I guess the
solenoid is not doing its job - I seems its is just sticking sometimes.
Is this something that may sort its self out so I should give it a bit
of time or do...

Started having starter troubles before I put car away for winter.
If I turn the key it may take several seconds for the starter to engage.
I've replaced the ground cable and cleaned all battery connections. Have
good voltage at the starter.
I can short the starter at the terminals and...

wiper switches because of my stupidity taking them out, messed em up.

some of you might remember me having a gas smel in the engine oil,
I've replaced the oil, but after maybe 100/150km the smel was back.
Also, when i started the bug it fired up and died immediately, after the
second start she fired right up and kept running... this happened all the
time...
