Looking for reputable Afla garage nr Warrington by redTed
As long as it's not f***ing Caledonia, I'm open to any recommendations. Airbag warning light is on all the time and I can hear a ticking (valves?) on start-up. Caledonia already charged me an exorbitant amount of money to replace the variator and I've sworn never to return :)

DAB Experiment Part 2 by Graeme Cosgrove
Got the DAB box this morning and fiited it in about 20mins. I attached self-adhesive velcro to it and stuck it in the glove box. The J-Link cable runs (discretely) from the glove box up into the center console and into the back of the head unit. There were no power cables to connect in the end,...

Car entertainment system. by Antonio MichaelDe Palma
Hi everyone!... just taking the occasion to wish you all a happy xmas and a fantastic 2005. It is said that we should be all more generous during the xmas period, well I have donated my car's sound system. In fact, I had it stolen from my alfa 156. I suppose I had to expect it I fitted in a DvD...

DAB (again) by Neil G
Well I've concluded it is a rip-off! My brother for Christmas got a DAB receiver, made by Matsui. This is about the shape of a King-size Mars bar about 5x2x1. It runs 6v DC and has two (L&R) audio out ports. Cost? Apparently £30. The aerial is the interesting part going on what has been said...

central locking stopping working... by Claude
.... suddenly. The only thing which works, when I press the button in the keyring is the light, which still blinks, once or twice, as before. The doors', as well as the boot locks don't lock nor unlock. Any idea where I should look at for a start? 156 2.5v6 2001. -- Claude

Happy Christmas... by Dr Entropy
...and boxin' day! This'll be the first "Semi-Annual Obligatory In-laws Visit" driving the 400+ Mi. trip in aught but an Alfa, MG or Lotus... We're takin' "Diesela" instead: The old (84) Turbo Benz we acquired for Horsemits (SWMBO) in September. I'm now apparently an "Official Old Fart!" gawd.

Tyre Wear - 156 2.0 Ts Veloce by Graeme Cosgrove
My 2002 156 just failed it's first MOT because of the wear on the front tyres. The inners are worn right down, and the rest of the tyres are down to the wear indicators. I put these boots on in January this year e.g. 11 months ago! They are Goodyears and I expected better than 12,000 miles...

DAB Experiment Part 1 by Graeme Cosgrove
I received the internal aerial from www.caraudidirect.com this morning. Since I had only ordered it the day before I thought that was pretty good going. The aerial is an "L" shaped device on a self adhesive backing. It looks like a rear window heating element. Also in the kit is a connector...

Body computer; Warranty Direct , Ideas? by PhilipS
Central locking packed up on the 147, diagnosed today as the body computer. Bought a Warranty Direct Gold policy earlier this year, as the 3 year manufacturers had run out. Looked fairly comprehensive, fairly good reports, no 'wear and tear' exclusion... Garage v helpful as usual, but they...

A Great Day by George Graves
I had one of those rare days that reinforce one's belief that its great to be alive. If you don't want to read about it, just bail. I live in the SF Bay Area in California, USA, about 35 miles south-west of the city in what is Euphemistically called "Silicon Valley". While the rest of the country...

Disaster?! Sidelight problem by PhilipS
Hi, Both my sidelight bulbs (147, sept 2001) went within a week of each other recently. Got a pair of spares, changed the driver's side bulb. Bit fiddly, but no real problems. Moved to the other side, then disaster. The black plastic sidelight bulb holder snapped off, leaving the bulb in situ...
