93 325i by Erik
Ok. I am posting this message because I have a decision to make. Although this 1993 325i 4 door automatic was given to me, I still have an opportunity to trade it for another car. The other car is a 1996 Nissan Maxima. I know that some of you are booing and hissing at the thought, but I have heard...

E36 Engine Temperature by Jonathan
I hoping someone here might know what the problem is and how to fix it. On a 1995 BMW 318i 5-speed, the engine coolant temperature appears to be operating perfectly with the needle in the mid way point. Never has overheated, and I just replaced the original thermostat last year due to not warming...

Windshield wipers stopped working the other day, then came back for a short time. Now failed again and intermittently the windshield washer also stops working. I've tried changing the Wiper Relay (newer Tyco model fitted, which I got from BMW dealer), worked for 1/2 hour then stopped again. I...

Waxing the Plastic parts? by Bo
Hi Everyone, Happy New Year! I waxed my car today, and was wondering what everyone thought about waxing the plastic parts (bumper cover, side view mirrors, etc? I didn't, but what do most of you do? For some reason I thought that the wax was only for the metal. Thanks, Bo -- www.estix.com

Replacing oddment tray with proper armrest on an M5/5 series by dweezil
I just purchased a 2001 M5 (with Dinan S2 upgrades - what a car!). I replaced the factory installed phone with the BMW Bluetooth upgrade package. It works great, but I don't understand the need for the "oddment tray" that sits between the two armrests - I find that my arm slips into the hole on the...

325 Anti-Theft Option? by Yale Braunstein
It is entirely a pricing-based decision. The current 3-series and X3 vehicles are pre-wired for an alarm with tilt and interior motion sensors, but you need to by the parts kit (about $275) and pay for installation.
