Alloys and bad roads dont mix by
marx404
I'm getting to really hate Saturn Alloy rims. My '94 and '02 had slightly
warped rims that had to be road-force balanced to keep the ride perfectly
smooth, a driving need that I'm un-conditional about. Those rims were warped
by the previous owners, I bought the cars used. Thought now that I have...

Odometer stopping on 94 SC2 by
Fred[_9_]
Hi
My odometer and trip meter have been stopping occasionally lately. Then they
start up again all by themselves. The speedometer works all the time. Any
ideas anyone?

Help! by
HyperCube33 \(Life2Death\)[_21_]
I'm going to undertake the first major car maintenance I've ever done:
Replace the front wheel bearing. I'm going to take the hub into Saturn
(right?) and have them press a new bearing in for me.
I would appreciate a list of tools I'd need to rent, or buy, or find before
I get started, so I can...

Need air dam for 91 Saturn SC by
Dennis
Got a 91 Saturn SC, the air dam is missing and I understand that this is an
important part of the engine cooling system.
I haven't searched the junk yards yet. If I can't find one, does anyone know
where I could buy one? I did a little searching on the internet with no
luck.
Thanks,
Dennis

Are Yakima or Thule attachments compatible with VUE rack? by
John
I just bought a 2004 VUE. Before I order Saturn's roof rack crossbars,
I was wondering if Yakima or Thule attachments are compatible. I have
a Yakima kayak rack and a Thule cargo box.
I already have some Yakima Q-Towers from the car I traded in. I don't
suppose Yakima makes any Q-Clips for the...

Removing frozen bolts??? by
JacktheCat Turkey
I'm finally replacing the head gasket on my 95 SW1 SOHC because I'm now
having to add 1/2 gallon/day in water-(green)antifreeze.
No "milkshakes" just a good green leak from the front and back of the
engine.
This is a by-the-book (Haynes) job. I can't locate a FSM. The 10mm bolts
holding the AC...

Towing 1998 SL2 by
Richard Davies
I'd like to tow my 98 SL2. Uhaul has a unit where you drive the front wheels
onto a dolly, and the back wheels stay on the road. Has anyone had any
experience with that setup? Do I need to do anything to the rear
differential or anything else? Does the rear bumper drag?
Thanks

2001 SC2 alarm on/off/wacky by
saxophool
Bought this car a couple of months ago. Runs nice but the alarm is
kind of driving me crazy. First problem was with the first very hot
days of Spring here. The alarm would just go off for no reason. I
took it to Saturn dealer. They said it seemed fine and they couldn't
fix it because the...

I have a '95 crank dohc Engine installed in my '92 sl2 car. What year of PCM

Electronic digital odometer hard to read (99 SL2) by
Doug Miller[_1_]
This is my second Saturn, but the first with an electronic digital odometer.
I don't like that too much: it's difficult to read in the daytime, except in
full sunlight, and impossible at night. Turning up the instrument panel
lighting has no effect. Is this thing *supposed* to be this hard to...

Power window won't go up by
MPost
I have a 93 SC-2. My passenger's side power window will open smoothly with
no problems. However, when I try to close it by holding the switch in the up
position, nothing happens. I can reliably close it by clicking the switch
up, releasing it, and repeating, perhaps a dozen times. Each time,...

A question of durability by
NewsGroupie
I have a 1994 SL2 with 119,000 Miles. My Penn State (PS) son is Main-Campus
bound Sep 2006 to finish the remaining two years. I live about 150 miles
away. Except for normal maintenance, the car runs fine. I anticipate his
driving to and from PS eight (8) times. Is it prudent to have him drive...
