Hello, I thought I'd put this out there to others who have the knowledge and the history of this engine. These are the symptoms we are experiencing with our 330xi automatic (M54 B30 engine). I may actually be describing more than one problem? 1. engine starts fine when cold with the exception...

E30 brake upgrade parts available -- of a 1996 328i by Chris[_27_]
Hi Folks, I hear e36 suspension and brake parts are a good upgrade for E30 cars.. I'm parting out a 1996 328i with good parts for this. It's got light (but serious enough the write off!) front end damage. The brake/suspension parts a Newer front control arms (~60k ago I think)

2005 325i Update by [email protected]
Hi, So I took a test drive today on a 2005 325xi. They didn't have any 325i's which they could pull out easily so I took the all wheel drive out for a test. I have to say I like the ride of the car and I could see out of the car easily (especially the left windows) which is difficult in some cars...

2008 Acura TSX:Sporty and economic, with room for baby. by Abel
2008 Acura TSX:Sporty and economic, with room for baby. This car has been a joy to drive in the few short days that I've driven it. It handles well, has excellent fuel economy and is roomy without losing the sporty feel. At 28k, it's probably the most affordable luxury car on the market, and is in...

E65 Overheat by paul mcmillen
Just bought an e65 745i and was wondering, what indication comes up if the car starts to overheat. Does the warning system 'bong' to warn you or do get some sort of bargraph display (like the range indication) to let you know how hot things are or does the perimeter of the tacho just light up...

2004 325xi - options by Ralph[_5_]
First, let me say thanks for all those that replied to my earlier post: "325xi vs 325i". It did help me make my decision. I'm going with the all wheel drive xi model. Did some test drives of late, and they confirmed exactly what I read, and expected. Balancing budget, mileage and model, it...

Cool little ride by Lucern
Cool little ride First off, this is a very nice little car. For most people, it is more than enough in terms of performance. The handling / balance isn't quite what the 3-Series offers, but it's still very agile. And the styling is very cool... striking in person. To most of the people writing...

Air Conditioning - recharge? by AlanF
A more general question - but I do have a BMW! Car in question (E60 three years old) - is it a good idea to have the air conditioning recharged? Air Con is pretty much left switched on all the time and seems fine. Cheers A

E46 windscreen washer filter clean? by Ranger
Hi, Anyone taken the tank out and found the filter and cleaned it (and obviously reassembled!)? My washers are playing up. Mostly they only squirt the water just above the wipers (this has only happened a week or so ago) but then they worked ok for a couple of days, now they are back to being...

Z4 Sat Nav Screen by Sam Smith[_2_]
I have had an Alpina Roadster S Lux since new for almost 3 years now. It has been an outstanding vehicle save for one minor problem. The Satnav screen seems to have problems popping up. Sometimes I have to press the button several times to make it work and then it may only go half way. Oddly -...

Differential Oils - can they be mixed? by John[_44_]
I have an E46 that had the differential oil changed; unfortunately it was not filled up to the right capacity and now needs to be topped up by about 450ml of extra oil! I do not have the original oil with which it was initially used (Amsoil SVG 75w90) but have Castrol XO 75W90 (which is...
