Clock compatibility - 71 Mustang? by ..
The clock in my 71 Grande has died. I've got my eye on, but can't check closely, a NOS clock for full-size '71 Fords. Does anyone know if the internals are compatible between the two?

rust areas on 83 mustang/how is the 3.8 V6 by [email protected]
Hi - I am checking into buying an 83 convert - I am wondering what parts of the chassis are most susceptible to rust particularly on the chassis and floors - I took a quick look under it and there is a fair amount of rust on the rear frame rails and the the rear bumper supports The rest of the car...

What Price Will Fuel A Change? by [email protected]
With gasoline prices surging across the nation in the wake of Hurricane Katrina's path of destruction in the Gulf of Mexico, the cost of running a car appears to be heading for what some auto experts say is a tipping point for American drivers. The price of gas is now well above $3 a gallon in some...

Ford's Future "Kinetic" Design Theme by [email protected]
Ford's latest concept for the Frankfurt show is the striking Iosis, a vehicle that the company says predicts its future "kinetic" design theme. "Get used to this - it is our future," says a European-crafted press release of the Iosis' curvaceous shape and dynamic proportions. While the name may be...

Get Ready To Pay Four Bucks A Gallon by [email protected]
NEW YORK - Consumers can expect retail gas prices to rise to $4 a gallon soon, but whether they stay there depends on the long-term damage to oil facilities from Hurricane Katrina, oil and gas analysts said Wednesday. "There's no question gas will hit $4 a gallon," Ben Brockwell, director of...

WTB: 95 power seat track by Armon Tanzerian
I need either the whole track assy, or some parts for one. Namely the nylon stripmaster 5000 gear that drives the screw back and forth. AND the lift transmission. My motors / cables are fine. If you have a track that is good, but the motor (s) are dead, that might work! Randyf at ...

More Looks At Ford's Future Styling Direstion by [email protected]
The Iosis definately doesn't look anything like the new Ford 500, that's for sure. From some angles I like it, but others look chunky. (Picture 9 looks better than picture 10.) The back end is wide kinda like a 350Z. The front quarters and some side shots remind me of the RX-8. And I think...

When first oil change for '05? by Bort
My '05 mustang just hit 1,000 miles. I could have sworn the dealer said i could take it in there for a free oil change after 1,000 miles, but when i just called the service department, they said it's normal to do it after the first 3,000. When should i actually get the oil changed? Did anyone...

Your Favorite Automotive Ads by [email protected]
Two of my recent favorites come from Dodge for their new Dodge Charger. One goes like this: "Dodge Charger Hybrid -- burns gas and rubber" And their latest for their Charger Daytona as it smokes the rear tires: "All smoke and no mirrors." Then there's one of my all-time favorites. It was for a...

New 2006s by Braxus
Interesting options on the new 2006 Mustang. I like the steel color they have now which looks like they just clearcoated over the metal itself. Would look good with stripes. Anyways what is the date the new 2006s start being made and are available?

Speed Channel Sucks! by [email protected]
Why does Speed Channel's programing schedule suck so bad? I swear nearly everytime (95%) I turn on Speed they're showing flippin' NASCAR. And it seems they have all their good programing on weekdays at like ten o'clock in the morning! What the hell?! Is it the same for everyone else, or is it...

Alternator in 2005-up Mustang- high output? and door subs by Braxus
What is the amperage of the 2005-up Mustang alternator? Do they have a high output version? Also is the stock alt sufficient to run one 5 channel amp and 1 mono amp probably equalling over 100 amps? Also the 8 inch subs in the doors- can you use an aftermarket sub in place of them? I"m not sure if...

This Week On Motorweek... Mustang GT and Ford GT!! by [email protected]
I take the day off to get some work done around the yard. While I come in to grab a quick bite to eat and to rehydrate, I flip on the TV to catch up on the news, but there's a commercial on. So I flip over to Speed Channel and lo and behold they actually have a show on that's worth watching. ...
