C6 Corvette seats and dashboard by
drb[_2_]
Since I'm considering buying a new Corvette and keeping it for a long
time (I hope at least 15 years or more) I was wondering if the seats
or dashboard might tend to crack over time? Is there any way to
prevent it with proper care or is it inevitable ? Any suggestions for
the proper care?

gasoline by
drb[_2_]
If I'm not mistaken, isn't the corvette (C6) supposed to take premium
gasoline? Anyone ever run it on regular gas? Will that harm the
engine in the LONG run? Please no flames on this, just asking for the
health of my future C6 and thanks.

2006 Corvette Coupe problems by
drb[_2_]
Chevy dealer near my house has a 2006 vette coupe with about 21k miles
for $35k. Edmunds.com has it valued around $33k from a dealer
(perhaps dealer allows for bargaining at $35k??). It looks nice in
the pics (red car) tho I prefer to have blue or white because I once
had a red car and it...

89 Corvette Engine Wiring by
Drink
Hi All,
I've come across a Corvette engine ('89 350 I think) with Tuned Port
Injection. Actually the vette's totalled and I'd like to keep the engine
with TPI. what will I need to make the TPI & ignition work? I can get the
computer but no harness.
I confess ignorance about all the sensors. I...

'86 Corvette emissions decal info (photo?) by
Drink
Hi All,
I'm putting the finishing touches on an '86 TPI Corvette (350 of course)
but I don't have the original emissions sticker in the engine compartment.
I'm using several TPI books but none clearly state the factory settings.
Can anybody steer me to the emissions decal info for this one? Sorry,...

Non-Factory Spark Plug Gap Setting by

Hi All,
Quick question: After modifying the ignition system, is there any logical
method or rule of thumb for changing the factory-recommended spark plug gap?
Engine in question is an '86 Corvette 350cid V8 engine with
TPI, HEI ignition, headers, high voltage coil, "performance" 8mm plug...

My Haynes manual says "refer to the under hood sticker" for base timing
settings for an '86 Vette but I don't have it. What is the base timing
setting for an '86 Vette?
TIA,

Pulley/Bracket Options for '89 L98 Vette Engine by
Drink
Hi All,
I've a '89 350 L98 TPI minus the air compressor. I guess nobody sells an
A/C eliminator idler bracket. Anybody have any experience/suggestions for
brackets/pulleys? I'd like to keep the smog pump for emissions but don't
need A/C. I looked at March Performance Pulleys' website but don't...

Fuel fitting size by
Drink
Hi All,
Can someone steer me to the correct hose-end fittings? It's an '89 vette
(TPI). The two fuel line connections that exit in front of the right-hand
fuel rail is what I need to match.
One inlet's larger than the other. Can anybody tell me what size & type
connectors I need to fit braided...

Red Line Oil Recommendation by
Drink
Does anybody have any recommendation for Red Line oil for use in the
Vette's 350 w/ TPI? I've never used it and know it's good but don't
understand some viscosity claims.
Red Line infers that a lower viscosity is recommended since 10W30's as
viscuous as normal 10W40 and 10W40's better than normal...
