E39 Speed Sensor question by Jeff[_48_]
Hello I have a 2000 528i (E39) My mechanic informed me the left front speed sensor is not working. I opted not to have them replace it due to their high cost. Instead I was told by a friend to buy the part from eBay which cost me $38.00 Is this something that's easily replaced? Can I just use...

E36 boot jammed by Tony[_17_]
The boot on our 1987 saloon is jammed shut. Possibly remote locking solenoid is stuck, but also key doesn't work (hasn't done for a long time). Key doesn't turn, but the button presses in freely. Any ideas how to get into it? Remove rear seat? -- Tony

NO Maintenance Agreement - no BMW Frozen Gray M3 for you! by JLA
From AB If you were one of the 30 Bimmerphiles to snag a 2011 Frozen Gray M3 Coupe last month, expect to fill out another round of paperwork before you take delivery of your new matte gray baby. BMW is apparently requiring all owners to sign a "maintenance agreement" that insists the M3 is never...

Raggtopp vs. scotchguard by grinder[_2_]
I have been using Raggtopp on my Z4 and works great. It waterproofs the top and seems to keep dirt from staining it. The downside is it is $20 per can. Has anybody tried using Scotchguard on their rag tops? I don't know why it wouldn't work just as well as Raggtopp.

Happy 25th Birthday to the BMW M3 by JLA
From AB It's been 25 years since the BMW M3 first hit the scene. During that time, the car has evolved from a bantamweight fighter capable of taking on heavy hitters of the sports car world to the yardstick that the rest of the segment is measured. In the process, it has shed its bulging,...

E36 Clutch Trouble by Jeff Strickland[_2_]
My '94 325 randomly drops the clutch pedal to the floor when I go to engage it -- press it with my foot. All I do is touch the pedal and it almost gets sucked down and stays about an inch off of the floor. I can pull the pedal up with my toe, and then the clutch works fine again. I've never...

PICS: Here comes the 2010 BMW X5 M by JLA
From AB ***** No one ever said that evolution is pretty. Take the best-of-breed BMW M Division product: the E30 M3. Little more than a homologated race car, the first generation M3 was potent, nimble, and with its small displacement 2.3-liter inline-four fed by a retweaked M1 intake, it was light,...
