88 Accord steering boot rips then leaks. by Sam Nickaby
A friend's power steering right boot rips then begins to loose fluid really fast weeks later. I flush with genuine fluids but still leaks. I can replace the boot. Did the dirt damage the seals? What are some ways I can do to reduce the leaks. Thanks

Bad morning for cars in my life.. long by finding z0
Got in the 2001 Prelude this morning (40K miles). Started it and hit AC button about the same time and the bugger stalled and all the lights came on. Cranked but wouldn't start. Sounded a bit weak as well. Did the 'if you had a carb & flooded it routine' i.e., floored it and cranked. It limped...

Aftermarket Brake Pads by DavidB
I don't like the way my 2002 CR-V brakes feel - not enough "bite" to the pedal even though the brakes work fine. But I don't know anything about this (and many other) subjects. Would ceramic pads improve the feel of the brake pedal without sacrificing performance?

94 Civic: low power in 1st by Abeness
Just a recap of the various things to check in case of low power in 1st gear (I'm asking; please correct me if necessary): Run a couple bottles of injector cleaner through? Check plugs/wires, replace at least plugs and maybe replace wires too--regardless of apparent condition? PCV valve?...

Air Conditioner Blows warm to hot air by tileguy
Hello, I have a 1995 Honda Accord, 4 cyl, 2.2 ltr, and just put in a new radiator. Everything went well, except my air conditioner blows warm to hot air, everything worked fine prior to changing the radiator. Is there something I missed?

Hot tranny -> Hot neutral safety Switch -> Starter solenoid not engage by [email protected]
When my car is hot, I can't start the car right away. The temp gauge indicates normal. I noticed the shifting gear is hot. I believe that the heat of hot tranny tranfered to the neutral safety switch that hot NSS unable to work. Sometimes I have to wait more than 30 minutes to starter to work. ...

how long do brake pads last? by chibitul
I feel like I'm stirring the pot a little bit. I know this is a tough question... anyway, for a manual car, driving in the suburbs (not New York like traffic jam, but also not interstate highway all day long), you know, the usual 5-10 miles to work every day, groceries, gym, shopping, doctor, etc....

Noise from suspension on 2001 CIVIC by Henry
It happened on Saturday morning when I went out shopping. The sound is pretty like the noise made by the door connector without lubricant - "GER... GER...". I never heard it before in the car. I lift each corner close to the wheels today by the tool for changing the wheels. I find out that it...

Hello everyone, I need help to get my car ready for the highway but got very confused after I check the old postings on the subject. It is because: 1. To set the timing, I need to short the service plug and disconnect the EACV before I look at the timing mark. 2. To set the idle speed, I need to...

Hello, I previously posted about my honda accord's battery failing the battery check. I've since called the dealer and found out that the Parts Dept batteries are Interstate batteries, not the factory originals. I currently have a Delphi battery.

Failing catalytic converter code by jbourgeois
My check engine light has come on, showing a P0420 code. The most probable cause of this, I'm told, is a failing catalytic converter. No other codes show up. The car is 1998 Honda Accord with 133k. Does anyone disagree with the suggestion that I must install a new catalytic converter? If I...
