Ropert's Aloha
Well I have now replaced my main relay(houses the fuel pump relay) with a
new one from Napa(I had
previously re-soldered all the points) and I replaced the ignition switch
with OEM Honda part. But I still have a problem with the car simply running
great one moment and then the next it's like...

Stripped Thread Help by
Tony
I have a 1979 Chev K10 with front wheel locking hubs.
The locknut and spindle thread (at the outer edge) has been partially
stripped. The thread that is not damaged is still usable. I cannot
remove the inner adjusting not because of the stripped portion. I have
tried to grind the stripped thread...

Rekeying '92 Civic door lock by
Bob 4knee
Hi,
Bought a '92 Civic which must have had the driver's door handle
replaced at some point. What's my cheapest option to make all the keys
match again:
I guess Honda can probably sell me a cylinder if I give them a key
number? Probably most pricey, if they go back that far?
If I take the...

CV joints on Toyota Corolla by
aurgathor
My girlfriend had the tires on her car swapped for studded
winter tires at Les Schwab, and they told her that the car needs
the CV joints replaced, and now she's bugging me to replace
them!! I never had a FWD car, so I don't know much
about CV joints.
So, questions:
a) what would be the...

Possible Pontiac Sunfire/Cavalier A/C Problem by
mike
Checking over my 2000 Sunfire the other day and I noticed that one of
the metal A/C lines ( left hand side as you look into the engine
compartment, a couple of inches below the hood support hinge ) was
tight against a sharp edge of body metal. The line was already
beginning to wear through. I...

GM trans rebuild, low pressure and slipping in R and 1ST related? by
andy everett
Third gear started slipping in my 93 Pontiac Bonneville. The car has
about 146000 miles. I decided to fix the trans while the problem was
still minor.
Sure enough the third clutch showed signs of burning and for unknown
reasons the clutch plates with splines on the inside had all the...

Brake question by
Henry H. Hansteen
Can air in the brake system cause intermittent trouble? My
2001 Ranger with 4 wheel ABS has too much pedal travel and
weak brakes. The brakes on this truck used to work very well.
Usually after moderate braking the rear drums will still be
cold to the touch. Other times they will get get quite...

Brad nailer and tire inflator tank, dangerous? by
Leroy Mowry
This pneumatics brad nailer calls for 55-100-psi, the 5G tank
supplies 120-psi. The instructions on the side of the tank says, "do
not use on pneumatics tools." It didn't say anything about single shot
nailers. The laws of physics yet is prove itself. But if anyone see
an imminent tank explosion...

Wiper Motor Questions 85 Chevy Caprice by
User132384
Hi,
I'm having a problem with the wipers on my 85 Caprice.
Here's the sequence of events:
2 days ago wipers start acting weird : They "park" themselves after each
cycle, in Low and High. They park for about a second, then start the next
cycle. In "intermittent", they work normally, except...

Compression Test by
Dave Skirrow
Hi,
Just need a quick bit of advice. I have just refitted my cylinder head
although I have not yet refilled the coolant or started the car.
I decided to do a quick compression test to check everything was in order
before I filled the coolant and so on.
The first cylinder I checked showed very...

Clutch Question??? by
[email protected]
Looking over my 1991 Corolla this morning in preparation for a long
trip back home for xmas I noticed something strange. I had both of the
front wheels off the ground, the transmission was in neutral. While the
car was idling the right wheel was turning, not really fast but not
super slow either....

Rebuilding steering gear box? by
Bruce Chang
I've got an 89 Firebird T/A with the death wobble and yesterday I was
underneath and trying to figure out if I had a bad ball joint or something
in the steering linkage that was loose but couldn't find anything. The only
thing I have is a leaky steering box that looks like the pitman arm is
slowly...
