Asshole of the day by
DTJ
There I was taking my family shopping, traveling on the interstate in
a 65MPH zone, doing about 5 over on cruise. At some point I noticed a
car that was probably doing 65 to 68, just slightly slower. At the
rate I was approaching, I was able to observe him occasionally pass a
few vehicles.
Well,...

Why You Shouldn't Fly a 1972 VW Beetle by
Dave in SD
(with pic!)

"The red 1972 Volkswagen Beetle was on the Plaza Boulevard offramp from
northbound Interstate 805 just after 11:30 a.m. when, witnesses say, it
"flew off the freeway in pieces," said California Highway...

California Roads are About to Get a Little BIt Safer by
Geoff Miller
What the hell kind of bull**** is this? When someone is
tested and deemed worthy of being issued a driver's license,
it should come with full privileges and responsibilities.
Otherwise, don't issue the goddam thing.
Besides, the only way that new drivers are going to accumulate
driving experience...

Moving car through U.S. from Canada on temporary registration? by
DP
Hello,
I'll be buying a car in another province in Canada and driving it
back through the U.S. with a temporary registration permit. This means
that the car will not have any plates in place and will only have a
temporary paper permit placed on the front window.
To me, this seems somewhat risky...

Cobalt or Focus by
[email protected]
Which car is the better design? Which one as better
roadholding/handling? Which one is more durable over the other?
I know that the cobalt chassis is newer in many years to the Focus but
the Focus happens to be European tuned inspired.
I would like to find out which one is the better choice and...

Green Left-turn Arrows(or lack of them) by
ChrisCoaster
I must be crazy, but hear this out:
Whenever I'm the lead car in the left-turn-only lane(Governed by a
4-element traffic light: red, caution, green, left arrow) the light
almost ALWAYS goes to straight green(no arrow). I have to wait for the
opposite traffic to clear, almost to the end of the...

Dear Sloth by
Smokey
LOL. I have had much the same thought, at times. The guy you passed
ends up next to you at a light, with a smug look. I know that down the
road I'll be way ahead of him, without ever exceeding the speed limit,
but he doesn't realize that.
Some of these fools think that they're better than those...

Why an SUV or utillity vehicle? by
oceansixtyone
I have been away from the United States for a number of years and when
I returned I found many more utility type vehicles on the road. This
includes SUV, station wagons and minivans. Sport Utility Vehicles as
the most popular of these utility vehicles. It looks to me that the
SUV has become the...
