Octane boost brand by
Barking Rats
'67, 427/390 hp, 10.25:1 compression
Anyone have info on the octane boost products out there? There's a fair
range of pricing - $5-$12 to treat 20 gal - but little real info on the
product packaging.
This last tank I went with NOS (the nitrous oxide co.) "Street" formula
octane booster. The box...

Wheels for 86 vs 96 ZR1 by
Raymond Prince
The wheels on my 86 are 16 inch and tires are 255 50. If I bought the 17
inch ZR1 wheels, what size tires would I need to keep the speedometer
accurate? And will these ZR1 wheels even work on the 86 model without
rubbing the body or frame?
Thank You
R L Prince

180 deg crankshaft. 526 hp at 7500 rpm. 429 lb/ft at 4750.
The Corvette continues to get GM's lame 6.2 l. Boring, but the brain deal
old folks that buy Corvettes do not know the difference.
Small, hi reving, V-8s are the way to go for the Corvette. Need overhead

1st to 4th shift light? by
Fred
I just read about a "1st to 4th" shift light on the new Corvettes. It says
that when the light comes on, you must shift from 1st to 4th, then you can
downshift after that if you prefer. What's the deal with this? Is there a
way to disable it? The reason I order a manual transmission is because...

1987 Power antenae problem by
Luke Brennan
Last week I pulled into my garage and turned off my '87 coupe. The power
antenae motor was running, trying to put the antenae back down, but it was
not going down. I gave it a push, it went down, and the motor quit
running. I forgot about it until yesterday, when I started the car and...

C5 headlights - by
FBNE[_2_]
Merry Christmas all. Either I am getting older or the headlights on my
C5 seem to be too dim for me. It is especially troublesome on the
low-beam side. It looks like the beam is "hitting" the road about 20
feet in front of the drivers side and only slightly better on the pax
side. I have...

Yes a Corvette is a status symbol by

The Corvette is a status symbol to those with high school diplomas, blue collar and lottery winners, who will park it in front of the bowling they bought with their winnings.

2012 Nissan GTR=Corvette ZR1 KILLER. by
Sal
Skylines have outclassed overpriced underperforming cars like
Corvettes for years.
Even several generation old Modded Skylines have easily done 1/4 mile
in 7 seconds, 0-200 mph in 13 seconds, etc. Well, the STOCK 2012
1200bhp GTR has a 1/4 mile time of 9.6 seconds, and a 0-200 time of...

406 Twin Turbo by
tww1491
The other day when I was out in my S2000, I ran across a young USAF Capt who
was driving what seemed to be a unique Corvette (c5). He claimed it was a
406 twin turbo. Certainly sounded the part. I did not ask him anything
about power although I opined the car was far faster than anyone could...

H.I.D. Lighting and best forum discussion sites by
Robinson
I have a 2000 Corvette.
Are there any aftermarket headlights available that give off that bluish
color like H.I.D. lights?
Where can I get them?
Also, which are the best forum type discussion sites for Corvettes?
Thanks!
