1999 C5 Targa Top Rattles by
Wider Is Better
Any ideas how to adjust the removable hardtop on my C5? It rattles and
squeaks over the slightest bumps.

1990 Corvette coupe heater control/AC problem by
Howard C. Taylor
Hi
The control of the auto aircon/heater on my Corvette failed recently (it
just shows '---' on the display and the buttons do nothing). I've followed
the GM manual checking procedures and all of the connections appear to be
fine, I've now replaced the programmer with a new one (part 1572896 on...

C3 Aftermarket Air Questions by
frank
Hi,
In preparation for the restoral of my '71 ragtop. I've been considering
installation of after-market air. I have a few questions I hope you guys
can answer for me:
1. I've heard that Hot Rod Air has a good kit. Are any other
Vette-specific options available?
2. Will an aftermarket system...

Question: 80 Glove Box Lock Assem Removal by
LR
How do you remove the Glove Box Lock Assembly on a 1980 Corvette?
I have the key and I know you have to twist it somehow along with, I think,
using a wire, but I can't find the instructions in any of the manuals that I
have.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Help needed on Identifing Numbers on a Carbureator by
Steve Eftink
This is my first post in the group, but have been reading the newsgroup
letters ever since buying my 1972 Corvette nearly two years ago. I have
used the advise of many of the writers and purchased many of the
publications that have been discussed. This leads to my point of writing. I
have a chance...

Hypertech's Power Programmer III on 98 C5 LS1 6 Spd. Any words of wisdom? by
Tedd Riggs
I have done a few small changes on my 98 C5 LS1 6 spd Corvette and am going
to try out what effect the Hypertech Power Programmer III has on the car as
I have had a number of comments this would help out the power/torque curves
a fair amount since the intake and exhaust have been opened up a bit...

Anything to know about a 1991 by
RWDoyle
I may have a chance to pick up a '91 with 5k miles for less than $8000. It
appears to be in good shape (I haven't inspected it in person, yet). It is
an automatic transmission, but the price seems good enough to let me live
with that.
Since I don't know a lot about C4's, I'd like to ask you all...

86 UGLY passenger side dash pad replacement by
Raymond Prince
I have seen 86 vettes without that ugly dash pad where a glove box should
be. They had a panel replacing it with CORVETTE written on it. Any idea
where those can be found?

horn problem by
lkitesplit
I am having a problem with my horns in my 94. One works and the other
doesn't. They were both out until I removed the drivers side horn and bead
it a few times with the back of a screwdriver. Is there a fix for these
horns? Do they typically go out? There is power to both of them.
Thanks,
John

best place for soft tops for 86? by
Raymond Prince
Anyone have any experience with purchasing a soft top? I have a price from a
Kwiktops.com and it is about $95 less than most everyone else. Also planning
on replacing the headliner at the same time. Is there any online info on how
to install one yourself?
Thank You

Is this the right place for this? by
Dad
My '72 is tore apart and the dash is on the roof right now so I need a
little humor in my life.
The Red neck that installed the radio before I got it used a 2" screw to
re-install the drivers side kick panel. Screw not required because it missed
the metal and was screwed into the door wiring...

Help Needed: Thumping Noise From Rear Wheel by

<<What does this sound like to you........U-joint problem in the axle
driveshaft?>>

If the axleshaft becomes harder to turn at 180 degree intervals, then the
problem is probably not a U-joint since the U-joint does not rotate at the
same rate as the axleshaft. I wonder if you...
