How far would you go for finishing part on a classic Corvette? by
Lee
How far would you go to get a finishing part on a classic Corvette
restoration project? In my book "Vette Head's Not Dead" some retired
military guys travel halfway across the country and get into a lot of
trouble with corrupt cops, and a rightwing militia while trying to recover a
buried Muncie...

89 Vette runs rough when restarted by
Lee & Mary Ogden
My vette runs great when it's first started, gas mileage is good. When I
shut it off, and restart it, it runs rough and has no power, and the gas
mileage is cut in half.
We replaced the coil, and distributor cap, and same thing.

Z06 Rear Axle Noise by
Lee C. Carpenter
I purchased a new '08 Z06 Monday with 11 miles on it. I've notice that when
making a right turn from a stop I get axle noise. It seems to be on the
passenger side. Kind of a low "growl" that lasts until I straighten the car
out. It doesn't do it at all when starting out straight or turning left....

First 200 Miles in New Z06 by
Lee C. Carpenter
After 200 miles, some observations: *
1. Does the inside of the center console always get hot enough to smelt
copper? Holy Moses... I guess GM didn't mean for us to store a chocolate bar
in there.
2. Still haven't solved the rear end chatter issue. I did the figure eights
Dad suggested and I...

broken spring bolts by
[email protected]
I have found the rear spring bolts on the differential mount broken
off. I managed to get the rear two out without a problem. This is a
1980 model and their are three bolts. The third is the one that would
not come out ...so I began to drill it out figuring I could retap the
hole to a larger size...

I've got a 2004 C5, lift back, silver and am thinking of putting on the 3-D
filler CORVETTE letters found, for example, in Eckler's pg. 62. Any
suggestions on the best color letters on a silver vette? Silver letters on a
black or grey vette looks great but i'm thinking brakelight red or...

Brake pedal adj. on C2? by
lib
I want the brake pedal to engage the brakes further from the floorboards on
my 63 (non-power, shoes/drums). I pulled the drums before I started my run
home, and turned the adjusting star-type nut in the front brakes so the
shoes moved closer to the drums. (There are no holes in the backing plate...
