Blown 147 sidelight bulb.... by cupra
I was about to attempt its' replacement the other day - I can see why people have had problems! Fortunately I'd left it switched on and as I wiggled the connector, hey presto, it worked! Saved a few swear words!

147 Rear Hatch Glass by Ross
Hi All The rear screen of my 2002 147 seems to have spontaneously shattered some time today! On closer inspection is appears to have broken from the inside out, rather than had something thrown/banged against it from the outside. As no replacement glass is available locally the car's going to...

156 door speakers by Ppelectron
In previous discussions on here, it was said that intermittent front door speakers in the 156 were often due to a dirty connector between the door wiring and the stereo wiring. Can anyone tell me whether the connector lives in the door or is it behind the trim in the footwell? I don't want to take...

I am contemplating selling the GTV I bought just over a year ago and possibly replacing it with one I can drive during the week, not just at the track. The car was built by John Dettinger. I bought the car from Jim Speer in Phoenix. You might now these names if you have been to any VARA races...

2.4JTD Clutch by [email protected]
Hello, I have a 2001 156 2.4JTD, with 78,000 miles (125,000Km) on the clock. I have noticed that the clutch has begun to smell of burning when the engine is under load, although it doesn't seem to slip much - 90mph (145kmh) is at 3,000 rpm as it always has been. Does it sound like I need a new...

2.4JTD Gearbox by Nick
Hi, My car is a 2001 156 2.4JTD (140bhp). The gearlever has recently stopped centring itself on the 3rd/4th gear plane which makes changing gear a bit more difficult. Occasionally I select 1st when I want 3rd, and 2nd when I want 4th - not ideal! There seems to be no 'spring' in the gearlever at...

social commentary, performance art or smut? by [email protected]
I just came across the website for a video called "hunting for bambi". >From the looks of it, it seems to be a low-brow stab at the OLN/Playboy genres of cable networks, but also comes across as a misogynist celebration of gun culture. Does anybody have any insight or opinions as to what else it...
