It's not MY fault by John B.
Just gotta love how some people justify their car accidents. Overheard from a woman at a local diner today at lunch. "My car is TOTALED! There was nothing I could do! She made a dead stop right in front of me! I didn't see her until I hit her!"

"I've got a bad feeling about this" -Han Solo by Ad absurdum per aspera

An experiment worthy of an Aunt Judy award. by MLOM
Also mentioned in a thread in m.t.r. Atlanta: college students conduct an experiment with obeying posted 55- mph speed limit. The results are insane. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1B-Ox0ZmVIU Toward the end of the clip, one of the students mentions just how dangerously low the posted SL is.

Too fast for conditions by [email protected]
What is everyone's experience with citations for "driving too fast for conditions" (IMO the most valid form of speeding tickets)? From what I've seen and heard (I've been lucky enough to avoid this infraction) people who have been charged with this are usually driving faster than the cop deems...

Another LLB cop at work by 223rem
Today on I69 southbound another cop was at work "pacing" as Jaybird put it--that is, cruising in the left lane at the speed limit (65 mph). He did that for 40 miles, causing a huge backup of vehicles behind him because of course nobody dared pass him. This incident confirms what I always...
