Floor pan replacement question by Ervin Charles
Hey Group, I'm about to completely replace the floor pans on my 76 SB Vert and would like some pointers from some of you who have done this. I know you must take a multitude of measurements before cutting out the old pans so that you get the bolt holes in the right spot to fit the body. Are any of...

Floor pan replacement, part 2 by Ervin Charles

Floor Pan Replacement, Part 3 by Ervin Charles
Okay, The frame is under the chassis and the pans are in place. Do I drill holes and spot weld the pans to the tunnel or just weld at the edge of the pans? Does it matter? And do I paint the joint before or after I put body/seam sealer on the joint? Thanks, you guys have been a ton of help! Charles

I just ordered Floor Pans which I will probably put on my 68 VW nug I am restoring. I went by a welding place and he said that he has never done that before but was doing it to his VW Thing. He said 45 dolars a hour and best if the body is off. Besides taking the body off is there anything i can...

Flushing Oil by John[_28_]
Whats the consensus of opinion on flushing oil?. The idea seems reasonable. I,m sure my 70 Squareback still running original engine has collected some gunge internally but on the basis "if it aint broke dont fix it" I,m inclined to leave it. Cheers John

Flushing the VW transmission by G.I.O.
If I was to have my 1990 VW van's transmission "flushed" what is the standard procedure used by most shops? That is, do they remove the pan and strainer and clean out the gunk first, then replace it and start the pump or ?? Also, just what is the flushing fluid? Thanks!

Fluttering sound in vent increases puzzlement by Mike Rocket J. Squirrel Elliott
Okay, this is getting weirder. Once we get above 45mph in the Wonderbus, a rattling, fluttering sound comes out of the driver's side fresh air vent on the dashboard. It sounds like a playing card rattling around. If I close the vent, the sound stops. If I pull out the round grille the sound stops,...
