intake manifold and cam selection by
John-Del
A recent 5.0 Magazine article had a shootout of 4 intake manifolds,
which confused me somewhat. I was under the impression that the intake
runner length and design give the intake a specific power band, which
the rest of the engine components should match. The Holley and Trick
Flow pieces are...

1965 Mustang won't start by
adamfryor
Just installed a new Edelbrock Performer 289 intake and Edelbrock 500
cfm carb with electronic choke and can't get it started for the life
of me! When I put the distributor back in it was right at the mark of
where I removed it, couldn't get it started. So I pulled it again and
set the engine to...

Brake caliper rebuild question. by
Mark C.
I'm rebuilding the stock ft calipers in my '69. What's a good lubricant to
use on the seals that's compatible with brake fluid or should I just use
brake fluid itself? It's not a good lubricant.

Cigar Lighter blowing fuses by
wf81
My 1972 Mustang Coupe likes to blow fuses.
I bought a new lighter and element installed them, after cleaning all the
rust and filth, when I push the lighter in the fuse blows. I've run
continuity between the power and ground, ground is good and the power only
grounds when the lighter is pushed...

Remove, or not remove that is the question (Air Silencer) by
AW
Anyone have an opinion on removing the silencer from a 99-03(4) GT?
I have read where you gain nothing, +5 RWHP, and -5 RWHP. I went ahead and
pulled mine off the other day, and I swear that while she's louder she
feels a little more sluggish. Now I'm wondering if I should put it back on
again....

Dean
I have a 92 GT, starts fine and runs fine for about 5 to 8 minutes. Then it
just quits, If it does refire you have to pump the gas to keep it running. I

Thanks Dean.

OT Amish Driver by
Spike
Amish woman was driving her buggy to town, when a highway patrol
officer stopped her.
"I'm not going to cite you," said the officer. "I just wanted to warn
you that the reflector on the back of your buggy is broken and it
could be dangerous."
"I thank thee," replied the Amish lady. "I shall have...

I dont know why my mustang smokes by
84_mustang_5.0
Recently my 84 5.0 mustang has been pouring white smoke out of the
tail pipes. It starts and runs fine but it started smoking recently.
I noticed the smoke after driving it a couple days after I filled it
with premium gas. Also I think my car burns oil. I use 5W30 motor oil
and I was wondering if...

mustang purchase help by
[email protected]
Hello,
I'm looking at a 1965 ivy green mustang conv. Since it is a big
investment for me I'd like a get some helpful feedback. It does not
have a power top, but does have a/c & pb & ps. Is it a waste to pay a
premium for the AC feature in a convertible? Does the non powr top hurt
resale value?...

2003 SVT Cobra Exhaust by
Steve Bell
Hello all, I am new to the group. I would like to ask your opinion on
exhaust systems for my '03 Cobra drop top. Right now it has a MagnaFlow cat
back system and I am not really thrilled with it. It is a bit too loud for
my liking and the excessive rumbling on deceleration drives me nuts. I...
