where to fit oil pressure and temperature gauge to twinspark engine by
Mark N
Just as the subject line says...
I would like to install a oil pressure gauge, alongside a oil temperature
gauge (i like gauges) but am not sure how to do this. I did this on a VW i
had a few years ago and it was just a cast of removing a bolt from the
engine block and screwing the pressure...

Where to get an open air filter for a 147 JTD? by
VMax
Hi,
Looking for a place to get an open air filter set to use on a 147JTD
I had some contact with K&N and they said that the 57i-set they sell
can't be used on the diesel engine.
As the air filter set-up is alike for the 1.6/2.0 and the 1.9JTD I thought
just to give it a try with the K&N-set.
But...

While I've got my wallet open by
Steve[_10_]
Hi
I've recently had to come to terms with having to replace the exhaust on my
1998 156 v6 and I've opted to go with a Cybox stainless/s box.
While I've got my wallet open, does anyone have any other worthwhile (and
constructive) recommendations to improve the overall performance of the car....

whining from my power steering 156 v6 by
v6daz
Yesterday my '99 156 V6 Steering started whining at low speed/revs but
only when I turn right? Sound lessens the more I drive but is still
noticeable , as is a slight intermittent vbration through the wheel.
As an alpha newbie I was wondering how easy it is to check the steering
fluid levels or...

Why are Alfa's so cheap second hand??? by
joomper
Allright, I know this example has high mileage, but in general why is a car
that sounds this good (and Alfa's in general) quite cheap to buy second hand
in the UK??
http://makeashorterlink.com/?W27C46939
Are they expensive to service/parts?? Checked insurance and it isn't that
bad. So there must...

Why bother with an Alfa by
Steve Byatt
As reported elsewhere, my GTA is currently being taken apart to find out why
the cambelt failed prematurely. This has led to the question "why bother
driving Alfas" being asked by most of the family and neighbours. I was just
on the point of agreeing when my hire-car arrived (oh yes, no courtesy...

Mikey
I've been trying to sell my Alfa 156 Sportwagon for a few weeks now and am
really struggling. I've never struggled to sell cars in the past and I
wondered if anyone here has had problems trying to sell a second hand Alfa?
The car is a 156 Sportwagon 1.6 TS Lusso 2002 with a full service history...

Windscreen washer jets clogged by
GT[_12_]
Windscreen washers. 4 holes at passenger side, 3 are blocked. 4 holes at
drivers side, 2 holes are blocked and 1 is dribbling. How do I get to clean
them without removing too much 'car'? I have tried a pin etc, but they need
to be removed and/or jetted somehow.

Wing mirror plastic by
GT[_1_]
Anyone know where I might get a body colour coded drivers side (RHS) door
mirror casing. It was kicked off by drunk kids last year (the same kids that
keyed the whole car the previous year) and has been held on with
colour-coded electrictions tape ever since. The colour coded plastic casing...
